It is true that people will use crypto large in numbers and through this we will make good decisions and for me bitcoin is the most important currency now because with time we will understand the true value of it and i think that billions of people will buy bitcoin and crypto for their usage and investment will be also increased in crypto sector, and it can be the thought of every one not only one behind this.

I strongly agree with Brian Armstrong's opinion. Only few people know about cryptocurrencies and bitcoin. Also it’s not impossible if there will be billions of people using bitcoin in the future. We cannot deny the growth of cryptocurrencies. Maybe few years later, access and transactions will be even easier so people will understand and bitcoin will be a mainstream exchange tool.

I think that this prediction might come true. Cryptocurrency is the future to the digital transaction system. Sooner or later, every country in the world will feel the need of cryptocurrency. Probably, i believe this will happen... We are already in modern technology now.. Evrything happens with the use of machines, hi tech features... Crypto usage usually help users in terms of easy transactions especially with money involve... Can lessen users burdens of having in queue... Can access fast transactions unlike banks... It would be wonderful, but I highly doubt that will happen anytime soon. I don't know the number of people using cryptocurrencies right now but I know that it isn't used by nearly that number of people. Crypto needs to be much more adopted and accepted in order to reach that number and it surely needs more time than 5 years to reach that number.

its not about the dapp  . its about the actually cryptocurrency coins . thats what really drives the hype and adoption  . dapp are just an accessory if i will describe it in one word ,   but still thanks to them because they help a little .

brian armstrong prediction's are true but he was already late to say it because crypto users nowadays are now over a bilion because its been already 10 years since crypto existed   . many countries , companies , people . merchants , etc .. all of them are done teaming up with crypto s  .

The Coinbase chief executive was responding to a question about cryptocurrency’s international outreach at TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco, to which he predicted that 1 billion people would eventually be using cryptocurrencies in the next five years.

Armstrong believes a growing number of cryptocurrency companies will contribute to the overall crypto ecosystem growth. These companies, under a regulated environment, will issue their tokens backed by their respective market caps. In a way, these institutionalized digital assets will prove to be an alternative investment system in addition to equities.

“It makes sense that any company out there who has a cap table should have their token,” Armstrong said. “Every open source project, every charity, potentially every fund or these new types of decentralized organizations [and] apps, they’re all going to have their tokens.”

Coinbase, the U.S. company Armstrong heads, is one of the world’s largest bitcoin and altcoin exchanges by trading volume. They have only recently entered the U.K. markets to tap the growing crypto-user base in the country. Previously, it had been working actively in the U.S. and Europe, and it has amassed over 13 million users to date. That makes it 32.5 percent of the overall crypto-users — arguably, anyway.

Armstrong plans to expand Coinbase to more global territories. They have recently announced their plans to open new offices in Africa.

This is not impossible as we can see as of now many countries already legalized cryptocurrency just like here in my country they already recognized it and one bank opens cryptocurrency atm this month which mean an easier inventory for our holdings and also savings.

It is a huge task to reach the billion mark, but it will happen in the future as it is difficult to predict that kind of adoption in five years time, the huge amounts that you are talking about came from a few big investors and not because of mass adoption, in order to have mass adoption we need more merchants accepting bitcoin and if that is the case we will have those numbers pretty soon.

 I think this is possible to happen after 5 years,, many people now are using  bitcoin and other cryptocurrency to transact like payment mode or sending money. And also many company adopt bitcoin in their payment mode, and some banks accept bitcoin. We don't know what happen in 5 years, but we hope this will happen so that many people will benefits.

Well it may not even take 5 years for us to have 5 billion users. You see prominent people like elon musk openly praising it's potential and people will flock to it. We've come a long way in 10 years and the growth over the last 3 years is an indication that there will be mass adoption to come.
