Even if the fight happens during the prime of their careers, i think Mayweather still has an edge over Pacman. I don't think it will make any difference at all. Manny has shoulder injury, but it doesn't chance the fact that Mayweather is a defensive genius and even if Manny's shoulder is healthy, his already past his prime at 2015 so the outcome will just be the same.

I agree though we still don't know what may happen. The chance of Manny Pacquiao winning is not zero but the possibility based on the past fight is favoring Floyd Mayweather.

@Janation, of course Manny has chances to beat Floyd any day, but 50 have tried already and already failed. I don't see anything special about the Manny of today that we can say that he can still has the tools to break Floyd's defense.

Fighters like Manny usually lost their speed as they age, its a sign that a fighter is really past his prime. Good example is Roy Jones Jr. When he was at his prime, damn, his reflexes and hand speed are terrific. But he went as high as HW division and won against Ruiz. But after that, he deteriorated and suffered KO's after KO's because his speed is no longer there. As Rrtt has said, Manny's best defense is his offense, so if his speed and offense suffered, then its going to be difficult for him to win against a defense like Floyd.

But its going to be interesting to see him against Broner though. Careful match making will make Manny looks like he still got it, but as a boxing fan, I see that he is already no longer the Manny that we witnessed and he is way past his prime.

We dont know if Floyd is really looking for that thing but for sure on most important matters it will always involve with big money on all decisions that would be made.
Fighting for an opponent to beat him might be possible but the way he do fights then its really hard to catch him up if he do still remain on his boxing style.

Maywearher never change his style since this is who bring him up to 50-0 record. All he should have to do now is improve his right arm strength to avoid get injured by paquiao punches because I'm sure paquiao will get revenge by knocking him down through his speed and power.

Last time they did a fight there was a ton of lawsuits going around afterwards. Mayweather making sure he is his own promoter and making every single penny possible from the seats that were sold to payperview type stuff every single dollar went through the company he built for this, which means Pacquiao will have to sign with Mayweathers company for one fight and agree on terms and if Mayweather realizes the fact that this will be one of his last fights because he is getting older and if he prefers retiring before losing any fights than he will definitely try to get most of the money. So I don't see him turning into another Mike Tyson and blowing all his money. Tyson that time hasn't had any good financial advisors, except for Don King, Lol, and that's what make it worst for him. I don't know how Mayweather will get lower though. Like he spends a ton of money for his living style and that is fine as long as he makes money but Dude is 41 years old, normally people do not fight until they are 41 years old, even if he wins couple more games he will have to start thinking about retiring and no matter how much he makes on this fight even if its a billion dollars which is impossible but lets assume even if that happens dude has to learn how to manage his money and his lifestyle has to change to suit his retired income.

He can't really make money anyway outside of the ring so he will have to save up or invest wisely in order to make decent living for himself or he will be poor by the time he is 60 years old. Pacman at least wants to get into politics and he can make money there.
