Great just what this boxing sport needs- another PAY PER VIEW that we all will know the exact outcome for  Roll Eyes
Come on men there are some better matches out there to make FLOYD does not act like he wants to fight again but he would prefer to promote and make even more money to not get punched   Wink
FLOYD is a smart business man and knows what hes doing - hes keeping his name relevant in case someone offers him a deal he just cant refuse!
How much money does Floyd want to fight Pacman again? hehehe. Everyone has a price, I remember when he was all bark when Canelo sign a $300 m with DAZN, That's the way he wanted to stay relevant. So if ever he was offered a one fight deal with Pacman with $300 m or more, I'm sure he will bite, Lol.
But 300m can be offer for him if he will show some intentions to give this fight a chance, how much have he get. The last fight against Pacquiao?240million dollars?thats only short about 60million to this fight to happen.

But like everyone of us,we are waiting to this big event

@Kemarit. That will be an argument of a lifetime hehe. Also, it might be a quicker negotiation this time if Floyd and Manny decide yes on the rematch. Pacman has signed to be managed by Al Haymon beginning last year.

When Pacman and Mayweather fought, it was already being billed as once in a lifetime match. If a rematch was to happen, all those people that paid good money to watch this 'once-in-a-lifetime; fight would feel kinda duped. So that's why I think, even if they wanted to, they wouldn't do a rematch.

Pacquiao has been pretty active in the last few years, whereas Mayweather has only been in 2 exhibition matches that I doubt he even trained for. It would be a complete whomp for Mayweather and not fair at all.

Yes, it was billed as 'once in a lifetime' match, but for me it didn't live it's hype because Mayweather didn't engage Pacquiao, and besides he has his shoulder injury (Manny).

Pacquaio chooses to be active, while Mayweather wanted to make easy money by fighting exhibition matches. But I think Mayweather will train very hard if ever a rematch will happen. It really has to happen, with a lot of boxing fans wanting to see and I'm sure they are willing to shell out top dollars again to see the two of them dancing in the ring again.

What ever he thinkinh if he want to fight again or not we do not know it.  Im exvited for the rematch to Mayweather.
Manny can prove him self by K.O because unanimous decision maybe will not work with this two great boxer.
Still unknown when the exact date of their rematch and there is no official announcement about it.

I do not think Mayweather will allow Manny to KO him.  I am a  Pacquiao fan but I am afraid to say that Mayweather is a good defensive boxer.  Aside from that Mayweather is a tactician too.  He knows when to run and land a punch.  With his(Mayweather) exceptional defensive stance and good strategy, the chance of Manny knocking Mayweather is very slim.

Sadly boxing is not only sports but business.  Promoters behind this Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight  wanted the money so the possibility of the rematch is huge.  They can always rig the fight so they can just put a show and possibly end the fight  in a draw.

For a business to become a success, both parties need to agree with each other.

Unfortunately, that's not the current case so this fight is far from happening for now. Mayweather will surely demand a much higher reward prize, win or loss, on this match. Pacquaio on the other hand, will not just accept much smaller rewards just for Mayweather to accept his challenge for a rematch. It's a disrespect for him.

This fight will not gonna happen unless both parties settled for a 50/50 aggreement.

It might look like a disrespectful move for a promoter to offer an 8 Division World Champion but rewards will give Senator Manny Pacquiao more respect than he has now. However, that is if Senator Manny Pacquiao will accept such offer and if Floyd Mayweather will sign a contract to slug it out again with the fighting Senator from the Philippines.

If the share is 50/50, I don't think Floyd Mayweather will even hold the paper and take a look. Remember that 1st match Floyd Mayweather signed the contract with 60/40 meaning Floyd Mayweathers fee is higher than the fee for Senator Manny Pacquiao.

Not sure if Floyd will accept 50/50, although he doesn't have the bargaining power right now, but Manny is under Al Haymon, the same advisor as Floyd. And I don't think that he will allow his boy to just get 50% of the split. At the end, Manny has no bargaining power, so if Pacquiao wanted to get a fight with Floyd then 60/40 could be a decent split, IMHO.

@bbc.reporter - Yes, that argument as to who is the greatest of that era will continue to go when they retire, who has more weight to the claim, a undefeated boxer or a eight divisional champion? Grin

Pacquiao will have no choice, if Al and Floyd said 70/30 split then I'm sure Manny will readily obliges because he wants a rematch with Floyd here. I know it's disrespectful, but this is business and Pacquiao won't have any leverage and Floyd will still be the A-side in this fight no matter what boxing fans are going to say.

It can be done if there's a huge money behind everything can be facilitated gambling mafias are just around and if opportunities open its way then surely it will be done according to its plan, rigging the fight if money will talked can't be avoided, it's been a long time business inside the gambling industry.
Right, Floyd fights for the money and not legacy so if there is around $300m-$500m then if might persuade Mayweather to give Pacman the rematch. Pacman already proved that he can still fight at 40, the ball is now on Floyd and he is probably waiting for more money in the table before accepting it.

I think it makes no sense for a senator to keep fighting, I don't know what type of country would just watch a senator fight for money but that is the case right here. Even if this happens and then Mayweather wins again which I am sure he will, what is it other than money they could potentially get from this, they are already quite rich and the money Pacman makes from this fight translate to his country means richer than Mayweather makes and takes to USA since life is more expensive there so money should not be a problem.

Even if it is, they could potentially just do "winner gets 300, loser gets 100" type of so that both will work on winning the match. Aside from that there is really no point for this fight and I would say it should not happen. They are well beyond their retiring ages anyway.

Mayweather has been out of the ring for several years now (competitively), so it's not so sure he'll beat a rough and ready Pacquiao.

Plus Mayweather is a few years his senior, and we all know that athletes start deteriorating in their late 30's, so Mayweather may be far below his prime.

Most of the time the fighters get a fixed purse, obviously Mayweather would get far more than Pacquiao since he manages himself, plus he would still be the A-side.

Usually the winner would receive a win bonus too, which is often a cut of the PPV earnings and promo revenue.

However, if you had the chance to earn $25m+ in a fight, you would do it too. Fighting sure as f*** pays more than being a senator!

Floyd Mayweather has convinced some fans he is ready for a Manny Pacquiao rematch by posting training footage on social media.
Still a rumor and as long theres no official word yet on both parties then this fight would just remain unclear.Fans are really hoping to much for this rematch

but on my part it seems that they aren't really interested at all.Showing off some training footage doesn't imply nor connect on possible fights to happen.

Floyd Mayweather drops hint he's preparing for Manny Pacquiao rematch
Woah! whoever is starting the buzz now and I don't think that this will make into reality? the question is if Manny would love the rematch against him if this is real. But this footage doesn't confirm that he's really talking about the rematch.

The link doesn't even have a say about this and I can't click the video it has, prolly I have an internet issue. But sooner or later, we'll know if they will really have a rematch although everyone has already gave up about it.

We should not expect too much, if the fight will happen then so be it, and let's just enjoy it, I mean hopefully it will be an enjoyable fright.
It's the same Mayweather that we will see in that game, but hopefully it will not be the same Manny Pacman, we wants him to him Mayweather really hard and knock him down like what he did to Thurman so he will have a shot of winning in this possible rematch.

Before only the side of Pacquiao was interested about the rematch and I think it's still there. This probably was made of some of their fans who really want to see them fight after watching the Pacquiao - Thurman match last time.
I'm not leaning and giving my hope for this kind of news, it's all a rumor yeah right. Let's take the decision and wait until there's a confirmation from any of their camp.

Yep definitely. Don't be excited about the news that are coming because it can be a buzz that's solely created for exposure and no intention of giving the fact about the real issue about this rematch.

This will make them a lot of money again for both sides "IF" it will come into reality. While the intensity between the two is fresh and still getting the attention of the fans, they will consider it but if not, it's fine then Floyd has proven himself already and he's happy to have that win against Manny.

In short, if Floyd Mayweather Jr. will not accept the challenge of Manny Pacman Pacquiao for the rematch, it is really mean that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is playing safe, he maybe doesn't want anymore to get a lose by Manny Pacman Pacquiao and want his record clean with 0 loss.

Even if we based on their age which Floyd Mayweather Jr. is current on his 42 years old, and Manny Pacman Pacquiao is 40 years old, they can still fight since the gap is not too much, another big fight of the year once this will happen.

Of course,  if I am Floyd, I will no longer accept fights that it has capability to defeat me and Manny has.  Though people could think that is a coward but it is better to protect my reputation and remains undefeated.

This what I look into Floyd and I don't think Manny will pursue Floyd to fight again rather than to find another opponent.

I reckon this works similar to an ICO hype scam and everyone is in. The sports news media, Pacman's group, Floyd's group and everyone who has an interest in this fight to make their money. The victims are us hehehe.
