We have fixed the issues caused by the attack on the ArtByte blockchain. No users funds were lost, but wallets do need to be upgraded.

It is mandatory to upgrade to the new wallet, version 0.13.1.0. The old wallets will not connect to the blockchain.

Of course, as with any software upgrade, it is always best to backup your data. To backup your existing ArtByte wallet, look in the top left hand corner and click "file", then click "backup wallet". Close your existing wallet and download and install the new wallet.

You can download the wallets here: https://github.com/AppleByteMe/AppleByte/releases

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Is there any way to download the blockchain faster? I had a problem and lost the file, the backup of the wallet I have. But I will have to download everything again!

This link on our forum has a zip file for the first 3 years, so you will only need to download the last year:

There's no telegram group. You just trying to get your post count up?

Hate to hear about the possible attack, I think you're doing a great work when it comes mitigating damage, taking swift action is the best way to handle it, so I definitely have this newfound admiration for you.

I just found out that our events aren't posted on this big eventcalendar. I heard they have tens of thousands of visitors every day. Does someone have the knowledge to update all our events on this site.

ArtByte is the future in the field of payment of artists, artists that we love anywhere they can also support this project through. I think this is a great idea and complete the sense.

A lot of SegWits in the coins world. I lost 15K ABY in December 2017  on Yobit. It was over $ 500. Never buy any coin until you read all the topics and the official forum. And better, do not buy coins at all.

That is a Yobit issue. Yobit did not upgrade their wallet after the upgrade to Segwit, even though we asked them over and over. All other exchanges did upgrade and there was not problem on those exchanges.

I got this error a lot too. Sometimes, you can try withdrawing in smaller amounts (e.g. 40 artbyte) and see if you have more success. You may need to do this repeatedly.

Not sure with the recent upgrade of ArtByte network to a newer version (0.16?) if online wallet is following. I had to install a utility by eugeneware (https://github.com/eugeneware/coinpunk-tools) on a Linux VPS to retrieve the private key so I could import it into the desktop wallet.

For those of you who are members of the ArtByte Forum, hopefully you have seen that we are changing our way of supporting artists and art fans. We are closing the ArtByte Forum and will be launching our new free Artist Profile section of the main site.

The new profile pages will allow artists to post their work, sell their work, and receive tips of ArtByte. Fans can leave comments, buy work, and easily send tips.

We very much appreciate the support of so many of you who posted and commented in the forum. ArtByte has a great community and will continue to build with our new free profiles. The profile section will launch in the next couple of weeks.

For general discussion about ArtByte, please use this announce thread or our Reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/artbyte

Greetings
If your project is the most perfect decentralized platform in the world for immediate payment without the risk of volatility for the implementation of the crypto receiver, then in the near future it will be successful.

It has been a good experience to be a member of the most friendliest and kindest forum environment which is the Artbyte Forum. I have been very much thankful for being a member for more than a year that I have learned much from the artist perspective from the Artbyte community members. Looking forward to the next level of Artbyte which is the Artist Profile Social Website which I will hundred percent support and be an avid member to. Congratulations and good job to the Artbyte Persons, Admins and the Development teams!
