Where should we focus this year?

Even today, unfortunately, this is true, but the fact that Blockchain isn't known may be due to people not wanting to give up the traditional system. So, the physical money has now become the indispensable of people. It will take some time for them to accept the new generation.

The simple thing is this: daily gains, huge profits, quick money and fear of missing out drove many to this space without understanding the underlying concept that uphold cryptocurrency — the blockchain. While all eyes are on market performance, I think emphasis should be on adoption which can be done by educating people on fundamentals of blockchain.

It's a good interpretation,I agree that most of the people don't know about blockchain,or more precisely they don't care about the blockchain, but institutions already start the research on the blockchain and the potential usage of it, so in 2019 we wills we more usage of blockchain

Most of all people who adopt blockchain technology especially in terms of transactions do not know how it works from blockchain technology, they only use this technology to make transactions for profit only without knowing the future and workings of blockchain technology. I think all Bitcoin users must know in advance the basis of the technology they use so that when someone asks us about blockchain technology they become interested in joining bitcoin in transactions.

Not everyone will know what blockchain really is and a lot would not care how it works as long as they get to see what it does, the freedom it brings them when it comes to spending, and the fact that it is an evolution which would disrupt a lot of things, they are Ok with it.

Honestly, the first time I started reading about blockchain technology, if not that i had some few idea on cryptography, and some few techie details, I can imagine how it would have been like for a tech novice or someone who is totally ignorant technology wise, to understand every details about it. Now, what most people even care about is how they can also become wealthy in a short term and that greed has infected the whole ecosystem somehow.

I think we should focus on educating as many people as we can about blockchain technology and trying to get our families invested in a small portfolio of Bitcoin and some solid altcoin projects. My Father is 80 years old and he is buying Bitcoin with his pension every month form Coinbase and also owns another two altcoins as well as part of his divested portfolio.  If you have kids and grandkids, buy them each some coins and let the bags sit for when they are going to make life-changing differences in their lives. It's time to educate your Loved Ones before everyone knows about the Blockchain and has already invested!

Maybe you can focus for this years at trade of investment at altcoin or bitcoin, you can leave ico project because I see many ico project was drop and scam. Many ico have failed with listing their coin at the exchange market.

maybe you're right, but now I might focus more on holding assets that I have and paying attention to the market. there is a high probability that the market will move quickly and of course it will be a good opportunity to get profit.

We no need to be blockchain expert to use the crypto currencies but having the knowledge about the blockchain will help the people to know how the crypto currencies works from the centralized banking system but anyway people don't want about the blockchain since they are investing on the cryptos.

'What is blockchain?' 'I don't know '!  This definitely cracked me up! In as much as it is a joke,  it still have a very stong meaning backing it up. It's so unfortunate that a lot of people are merely talking about blockchain but still yet they don't know what it truly means. Some just want to flow with the latest topic just because of the fear of being left out.

But what's the point of knowing all the gory details about the blockchain technology and how it works internally? I think it is enough to know that on the outside it is a distributed ledger, that is a digital book keeping the records of all transactions made and through that keeping track of how many coins you have got. On the inside, it is a decentralized fault-tolerant database designed to work in a trustless environment.

What else do we need to know, apart from understanding how to send and receive money in the wallet of our choice? Do you actually need to know the specifics of how the internal combustion engine works to learn how to drive a car, especially if it is an all-electric one?

Well, the picture is funny. If seriously, in addition to observing the crypto market I am monitoring the stock market. I am absolutely sure that there will be a strong correction on the stock market quite soon so I would like to catch that moment and find an entry point to enter just in time. Also I am pretty sure that the correction on the stock market will have the immense effect to the crypto market, the precious metals, FX market and other assets. As at the moment almost all crypto assets are on low values I guess  that the crypto assets may be seemed pretty attractive for stock investors for buying that may cause to push the entire crypto market to the green zone. I wish every investor to make the right choice.

Wherever you can. I have never targeted focus at one point throughout the year. I will only focus if there is indeed an opportunity to make a profit and will not force myself to focus on something that I cannot or do not understand and do not have the expertise nor experience on it. That way you don't have to invest all year and force yourself to focus on anything that you can't or you won't have a chance. So just pay attention to what will happen throughout the year, if like now the crypto market is weakening, then you will be better focused on buying / investing and try to focus on holding it so you can have the opportunity to gain profits next year or whenever you see the market recover.

It all depends on how and where you apply the blockchain as 'technology'.

If we're purely focusing on corporate solutions to enhance efficiency and profitability, you only need a database structure to get the job done. There isn't any sort of advantage a blockchain grants you over a database. Everyone thinks the blockchain is it because of the hype around it, but when you discard all the hype, there isn't much of value left.

Blockchains are useful when it comes to decentralized incentives such as Bitcoin, because you at all times rely on the chain to remain immutable. If you don't need an immutable chain, there is no need for a blockchain, period.

Most of the problem here in this forum is that.

Something like.
"Yeah let us invest there." After buying the token. "What the hell did we just buy?"
"I do not know but it sounds great."
"People are buying it so I better buy it too."

Sometimes it sounds freaky when people are doing that kind of decisions. Scary too. We dont want them going to bad choices but laziness overcomes.

That's true, some people who came to this place just for investing, no matter what parentage of the investment place he has chosen, their focus is only getting profit. As far as when the crash came they only see on the price and they gone and sell all the assets they have, if he has got a big loss. However, for those who know the parentage of cryptocurrency and till they know blockchain clearly, so there is no anxiety for them to sell their assets in a loss, just hold and leave the price prediction.
