And there is.  But personally, I think that this will not last long and in the end Ethereum will return to the 2nd position!

In my opinion, XRP is difficult to beat ETH. although indeed the current XRP ranking is increasing, it cannot defeat ETH. because the popularity of ETH is higher than XRP and more ETH enthusiasts.

Ripple does have good development, but it does not necessarily defeat eth. We know that eth has become a well-known ICO platform, many ICOs use it and a strong community. Maybe the eth level of trust is reduced and many are moving on the Ripple and this is a natural thing.

There are many talks about different competitors of Ethereum. I think that such ideas have no ground under itself. Don't be foolish to follow advices which recommend to change your attitude toward something but not an Ethereum.

I also believe that if XRP has bypassed Ethereum to date, this should not mean that we should now benefit this platform and purchase XRP coins. I think this overtaking is temporary, and next year will put these coins in their places, because in order to really get around in all of Ethereum, any project needs to try very hard in the development of its platform.

If you care about martket cappitalization only then yes.
But still Ethereum has bigger 24h volume, bigger team, more projects depend on Ethereum, more partnerships (Ethereum Enterprise alliance) and so on. So for me it is still the biggest altcoin Smiley.

Of course the yardstick is in terms of price/trading volumes/market capitalization and when you look at coinmarketcap, XRP has surpassed ETH last month and still continue to take the second spot from Bitcoin. But there's still a lot of arguments against ETH, specially how it is controlled by the bankers or it is centralize coin. And I heard the ETH will have it's forked next month if I'm not mistaken so there's still a chance than it can regain its position and maybe we will see another ATH when this market started its bull run next year.

I think Ripple came in second place not for long, because Ethereum is a more promising coin, and soon she will be able to prove it!

even now, even when I see the rigid Ripple in second place, it seems difficult for Ethereum to regain its position. But even so Ethereum is still a good place to invest.

ETH will be back on 2nd place, don't worry about that. Look at trade volume on ETH, it's still the 2nd biggest after bitcoin. Just wait when ETH do contanstinouple hardofork on jan - feb 2019

I think because investors have been trusted by XP
I think there are a lot of shortcomings in XP that I know xrp works for banks and if the bank does not provide services whether it is still possible that the company still gets a place in the coinmarket unlike ethereum which becomes an exchange rate and there is no wind that can harm it. .
I think maybe for the next few months investing in XP will be a good choice

XRP is a top  coin backed by many financial investors and it is normal that it will take over the lead from ETH when it is
facing some problems and the development upgrades were postponed. I think it will be short term and ETH will recover
and take back the lead from XRP.

That two coins is difference to each other. I blieve they have different potential of this coin. Ethereum possible become king of all cryptovurrency while the ripple possible it will become hundreds of dollars value in the neae future.

One should be surprised that the industry is still alive, although it has lost such a large percentage of the entire capitalization. Any other sphere would have died, but not the crypto sphere.

for a while, XRP beat ETH in the coinmarketcap in position 2. well, it can't be relocated. however, after ETH will experience hardfork, ETH is again taking the 2nd position. ETH is indeed an excellent coin.

I was thinking that it was strictly about the preferences of investors. Since most of the Ripple is in the hands of the creators, then somehow influence the course, to third parties, is quite difficult.

It was predictable. )
and at the moment is in place in terms of capitalization , I think the capitalization will increase from Ethereum before the 15th day prior to the fork and then go right back to fall

ethereum does not give up and just doesn’t intend to give up its position precisely because it is the king of altcoins
