In the spirit of mass adoption we are likely going to see the death of PayPal and other payment gateways. Do you foresee the death of PayPal soon by Bitcoin? At some point people would want to feel safe in not tying their credit cards to any online payment gateway. Your thoughts?

This is a question that has no answer. because we all know that paypal is the king of transactions in the internet world. His trust has been recognized throughout the world.
Bitcoin is a currency that is not really known by all levels of society. I think maybe in the next two decades, bitcoin can be used as the best option in every transaction on the internet

Actually we can't really tell. Some people uses bitcoin as a mode of payment now a days. Yet paypal is most commonly used by now and its is already established before bitcoin came in.

Bitcoin is not a threat to PayPal or any other popular payment system. Even when the cryptocurrencies will gain the great popularity, most people would still use their beloved methods of payment.

I believe that cryptocurrencies will eventually displace PayPal, however, there is still some way to go, because cryptocurrencies are currently being used little for international transfers, there are projects like Ultrapoint (UPX) that have a clear focus on the Massive use, the currency is private and the shipping costs are very low, ideal for organizing international transfers.

Maybe in near future, Paypal give a new feature bitcoin deposit. Bitcoin can make Paypal having trouble on their bussiness but i am believe Paypal will survive and maybe adopting bitcoin on their platform
The kind of protocol which PayPal posed, I don't see PayPal adding Bitcoin to their platform now or the future and I don't know if every cryptonier wonder why Saar Wilf create his payment system with the exclusion of PayPal. It because PayPal don't want deal with cryptocurrency.

Since the number of payal users is so large, to be able to replace it, there is a need for a process that allows users to accept and adapt to the new.

I am believe Paypal will collaborate with bitcoin. Credit card or debit card can used by bitcoin to spend in merchant because most merchant using Master Card or Visa card. I think bitcoin can collaborate with them and make easier to use

I think the possibility of bitcoin being able to beat paypals is possible, but it takes time, since the number of users is quite large, bitcoin needs to overcome its shortcomings to outperform bitcoin.

Collaborate ? Hmm i dont think so . both platform are working on a different way , paypal is centralize and all payments that have been processed succefully can still be chargebacks or can be recovered from the reciever and his account can be disputed while bitcoin/cryptos is working oppositely , cryptos are anonymous and once the transaction is procesed succesfully it cannot be reversed anymore  no matter what is the reason .

Though cryptos wont put an end to paypal but rather they will work in a parallel manner or equally because both payment methods are still indemand thesedays .

There were a lot of investors who have invested their money into Paypal by buying their stocks on the stock market, and Paypal would be able to use these funds to keep on developing and expand their business into more areas. Even with the rise of bitcoin, I guess Paypal would still be able to survive for many years with their business model.

This is pure self-delusion.

We bitcoiners are well well behind paypal and other payment systems in usability, speed, etc.

No hope here.

Bitcoin has many uses and purposes like money transfer. For me, I still going to use my most trusted money transfer (as per no). If the bitcoin or cryptocurrency will legalize in my country I will use bitcoin and it depends on the system and convenience of bitcoin as money transfer. Paypal is one of the most legit money transfer internationally.

In my own perception i think that bitcoin won't bring an end to paypal, since paypal is more secure and everyone who can rely their credits. But if bitcoin takes an end to paypal, bitcoin management should be looking for a subtitute for paypal and just like more secure so that bitcoin industry would not also loose its investors and enthusiast.

I don't think would dominate all the online payment, some people want a legit payment system that is not anonymous because they will first doubt with it, especially Bitcoin involved in black market. Paypal is also an easy and fast way payment and many merchant accept it

I also use PayPal as it is very convenient to me. Certainly, I am ready to use Bitcoin as well but I do not think that BTC threatens the most popular payment system. PayPal will live for many years.
In this century, or the next, I believe the people will leave the paypal and will switch to Bitcoin. Later when the Bitcoin's getting known by the public at large so they will be comfortable using Bitcoin than paypal. I hope the developed countries are willing to make a Bitcoin as means of payment.

There is no chance in near future. Blockchain and Bitcoin is a baby and it trying to walk. Paypal is completely stable and working fine platform. Other thing is Paypal speed fast and low fee as crypto. Blockchain and Bitcoin can beat other payment methods like Western Union but thats all.

Not today unfortunately, as there are lots of factors which we cannot avoid.

Still, I hope that eventually this could happen, as PayPal is obviously less economically effective, compared to Bitcoin (yes, I mean it, and that's provable).
I have never liked PayPal since it is not widely accepted across the globe but I don't think bitcoin would replace PayPal anytime soon, I believe bitcoin is doing amazing well, I think bitcoin and PayPal can coexist as methods of payment. Personally I prefer bitcoin to PayPal since bitcoin is widely accepted in many parts of the world.

I still do paypal and I still want it to exist, because there are transactions online that are suited for paypal users, like you are going to transact to people you don't know and there are online stores that only caters to paypal users because paypal tos is suited to their needs.

I also use PayPal as it is very convenient to me. Certainly, I am ready to use Bitcoin as well but I do not think that BTC threatens the most popular payment system. PayPal will live for many years.
Well, for my personal information I think that bitcoin cant affect PayPal in any ways, Bitcoin has its own definition and style its also has originality while the PayPal is another project which offers another way of services with its unique features  also.

- I do not understand why people need to leave paypal when it still offers service and work very well while bitcoin is still precarious and there are many negative signs, the value is decreasing over time, even come near the boundary ends. You are probably a crazy fan of bitcoin, always thinking bitcoin is all of the future but in fact it still does not have too much influence on the future, the government and many people still do not accept the bitcoin going into their lives, you should live with this fact, bitcoin can not touch the position of paypal

Peypal is very popular around the world and pushing it is not so easy. I think this is not necessary, because when there are many different payment options, it is better than when there are few of them. With a monopoly on any type of service or product begins a faster rise in prices.
