Yes but we are not totally sure on that predictions because of the current situation of market which is as we see until now there's no sign of progress , but lets keep believing and keep our fingers cross because it's not impossible to happen , indeed miracle always happened especially here in crypto world , unless if you have patience.

Such claims are to my opinion just speculations because so far I have never found any statistics or other data that would confirm that. In cases when than happened it's a product of some other circumstances on the market, not the fact that is the end of the year.
Many expectations are also based on last year experiences but there is no guarantee at all this will happen again. In fact, it's not likely that we will have the last scenario like at last December.

Last year's market was able to rise rapidly at the end of the year because of ICO, but this year the market has no projects that can cause investment boom!
You guys should stop comparing last year's market to this market. Last year was able to act that way because we started the year bullish and it was bullish throughout, so the possibility of seeing a point where FOMO would kick in was something expected anyway. This is a different case entirely from what we have this year.

The market is in a bear trend, and every indication shows bearish until we get to know if the bears no longer have the strength to pull the market down further. For now, we are just in between the bulls and the bears and even if we peradventure manage to breakout upward, I would not expect anything much this year for bitcoin, except for some altcoins anyway.

Is it true that the market usually rises before the end of the year?

no matter if it is end of the year or half of the year, what matters is have great news that are able to create a great increase of prices and this news that are able to create big increases of prices can appear any month and day.

I spoke with few people that already said that in the last 5 years the market became really bulish

It is true that some years have had that coincidence, but this does not mean that it is a standard

I would rather not be too fixated on a Q4 movement

I also think that people should be more relaxed and not fixate much on the price

this happens like a food chain cycle, where people believe bitcoin prices will rise by the end of the year. because the number of purchases increases, prices will also increase, this will occur continuously.

if I look at the history of cryptocurrency prices from a few years ago every end of the year cryptocurrency prices will usually go up again and will become very expensive.

We really cannot tell because of the bitcoin behavior that is unpredictable. But hopefully if it is not true that every 3rd or 4th quarter of the year it rises up. Then who knows maybe this time it will repeat its history last year. I am optimistic minded that anything can happen under the sun. That includes the bull run this year will come.

This is a behavior that we have seen out of bitcoin and yet I have not seen an explanation that tell us why this happens in a satisfactory manner, but you need to remember that just because that has happened in the last years it doesn't mean that is going to happen again, if you invest money in bitcoin thinking this is going to happen again only to find out that you made a mistake then not only you are going to lose money you could lose confidence in bitcoin as well.

Market trends often seem to form out of nothing, the first few years may have just been a random bullish period and now people jump on it and assume the same will happen again. If they continue to do that then the price will only rise in Q4. As for a reason there doesn't seem to be much of a logical one, perhaps just a seasonal thing that people tend to have a little more spare money around that time of year, in some countries you receive double pay in the month of December.
Interesting, then it's quite likely that this is just a case of a self fulfilling prophecy, in which people expect something to happen and the expectation for that something to happen creates the event that they were waiting for, so since people are waiting for the price of bitcoin to go up at the end of the year their expectation makes bitcoin to go up at that time.

Yes I have noticed it from past couple of years and the bitcoin market does rise at the end of the year and I don't think it might happen this year because in last two years the market started rising right from the month of October but this year we are yet to see any signs

from the analysis that I did at the end of this year it might not be very expensive and it is possible that the price movement this year will not be too much because the demand has begun to decrease.

Well, is it true for the past 3 or so years? Yes. Prices have generally been on the rise at the end of the year.

But then you have to ask yourself why. Is there a particular reason why it's doing so, or are prices simply coincidentally rising because of the fact that the past 2 years have been pretty bullish?

Potentially, end of year could provide a change in market sentiment especially on the emotional aspect of trading, leading to this bullish outbreak at the end of the years of the past few years. Other than that i see no rational reason for this to happen, which means that it shouldn't be a trend that should be relied on imho.

Hey if you look at the charts for the years of 2011 and 2014 you'll observe it displayed bearish tendency, however in the past few years and especially in last quarters of the years 2016, 2017 the prices shot up. It's really difficult to conclude will the same feat be repeated again, as there were lot of positive news and public sentiments were preety high back then.

There is also a theory which says that during festival season people tend to use bitcoins as a means of gifts which increases it's prices, we'll have to wait and see how the prices shall be effected in coming months.
Bitcoin was created in 2009 but I didn’t see any big growth in the price before 2017. Why just one year the price raised like rocket. I think it was totally a game and the player won the game and the market became normal again. Now those investors who lost their money due to that collapse want once more bump in the price so that they would recover their deficits.

If it's going to happen, we'll see when it happens. It's not right to just say that without any evidence or without any analysis. No obligation ''events that have occurred in the past year should be this year''. The price prediction without any news depends on your chances.

It will really going to happen mate, we just need to wait for more days to come. December is yet to come so it's not too late to save your holdings. Hold your coins and don't bother selling it just for any bad reasons because of fake news and other non legit media informations due to bearish trend.

For me, I just depend on the situations may bring to all of us here buddy. We really don't know what will going to happen, unless there's a miracle and those big whales will be impress with the market so they'll be able to put up their wealth again to cryptocurrency. Thinking for that before the end of the year is a good motivations, because if it wouldn't happen I guess many people will lose patience as well.
If bull run never exist by the end of this year, then this is a big disappointments of some investor that may be the reason for leaving on crypto, as well it go under collapsed due of lack in demand. But a positive motivation will help for bitcoin consistently grow as well the demand. The more patience we consume, the mere profits we aim.
come on in crypto trading or investment a price change that is not in line with expectations is not the end that  is the usual thing that often happens. so basically you should have to know how to manage your expectations so that you are not disappointed and panicked when the changes come and are not appropriate
If he has decided to see not rising by the end of the year as a big disappointment, which is because that is the line he has decided to choose. Disappointment only comes to those who expect too much from the future they cannot predict, rather than trying to take advantage on the moment now, believing surely that the future is good irrespective of when it comes good, and then be able to make substantial decisions by utilizing the opportunity that the market brings now. There is so much in the future that is expected, so, trying to panic unnecessarily or getting disappointed if the market does not move as please, sounds absurd to me.

Have you ever seen the BTC price chart? How does it look? Try to look back, does every year trend is bullish? Indeed the last 3 years trend was bullish but before those years, that wasn’t what happened, the price of Bitcoin at that time didn’t move much and at the end of that year its value decreased. The pattern is not always repeating, especially in crypto.

Well, since the market seems to be relying on bitcoin's status, then you can somehow check bitcoin's history and check every final quarter if how it looks like. I think, all, if not majority of occasions that bitcoin has its price rising.

Yes, many people receive some money before the year ends and some would just like to invest it into something. Due to the trend of the past years, many are anticipating that it would happen again this year that's why when the year end approaches, price is slowly rising. We are still unsure if that will happen again this year given the state of the market but if it will happen then better start buying more coins so that you can have more profit in the months to come but still have risk management.

Yes, many people receive some money before the year ends and some would just like to invest it into something.

The opposite also holds true. By the end of the year people are willing to book profits and shell out on gifts and other things due to Black Friday, Christmas, New Year, and things like these. It is certainly possible that the December crash that started at the end of 2017 was because of these factors, that is people cashing out and wanting to spend cash in real life. That was a trigger that started off an avalanche of sell-offs that continued well into the first quarter of 2018. So don't dismiss the factor which works in the opposite direction as many people may be willing to disinvest by the year end.

It is quite true, the market history acknowledge the happenings of bull run appear every end of the year. But as year had passed, the rescent scenario was taking different perspection on dealing the circumstances and the prices is quickly moving. No one can forsee the state, just be positive and optimistic that bullish will accurately happen soon.

Think that like you everyone think about market movement to be same like last year then no one will try to buy now but will just wait for the price to move high so that they can sell. Then who are going to buy in high price. I think this year it wont happen as 80% of them are expecting last year situation and no new investor want to invest, so the max it can go is 10000 usd as we can see selling pressure build near that .

I think it is still part of the cryptocurrency cycle but not all the time bitcoin price rises during the 4th quarter till the year ends. Because of the holiday season, many of the investors buy cryptocurrencies and hold them for the next market bullrun but many of them are also encashing their profits before the year changes resulting into price fall at the start of the year. If there is a positive news for the market during the year end, the price would also go up.

Many hodlers would strongly disagree with you on this one. They blindly believe that bitcoin will be a huge success in the coming years and thus they keep on holding their bitcoins. Do they expect too much from the future and can they not predict it? It seems to me that they are waiting for the next bull run which should start after bitcoin bottoms out. It may have already but somehow I don't think that their hopes will come to fruition. Bitcoin is most likely going to continue trading in the narrow range of 6-8k, but I don't see the market being overflowing with opportunities. You can't do much in this kind of trading environment.
