I think that is because it is not appreciated and its capitalization is just like that. But there are a number of ICO projects that make the price of the token low but they will pump the price of the token higher than the ICO price after 3 months. That's the strategy of some great ICO projects. There are many different types of ICOs, so it is best to talk to the founder before investing a large amount of money.

there are many reasons why ico has decreased in price. like what is happening now where there are so many projeckers who have experienced the same thing. usually this is a big bonus given to their ico

I dont recommend for participating to ico at these months, like you said token prices dropping much after ico and we can invest from cheaper price at bear market, but at bull season dont miss good project's ico of course, you can earn 3x-4x easily from one ico.

ICOs usually have 100%, 80% or 60% bonus in private or pre-sale period. Investors often buy at this point, actually the publicity phase they almost didn't sell much. Token price dropping after ICO is also understandable.
All ICO projects are in a difficult period and it is difficult to attract investment capital at this time. I think we need to look for new investors to this market, the demand for investment in ICO projects will increase but it will probably take a long time because of the poor market performance that makes every people are not interested in investing in this market
If there is not too much ICO scam in the past then I think the ICO market will still exist and be more interested investors. Unfortunately, ICO scam is so powerful and it makes many investors afraid of it. We don't need to find new investors just ICO it is a good project

Yes I really agree on this issue where tokens price are also dropping soon after the ICO simply because this ICOs are being abandoned by their own developer making it active only for a short period of time during its introduction and then soon after that all will be gone along with the investors money making investors nowadays to doubt on any ICOs out there.

Most icos are selling their coins for a very expensive price, so when the time comes and those coins are in the market those that invested in it realize that there is not really a huge interest of the community in the coin and when there is no demand it doesn't matter how low is to supply the price is going to go down, it is a very sad state of affairs but you should get used to it.

The bonus that is given is very large and also the bounty allocation is also very influential about the condition of the price of the token when they register their tokens and usually experience price declines

I have taken part of some ICOs and everytime their token price goes down after the ICO.. why is that so?

EDIT:
oh, nice.. that was helpful and pretty much what I was looking for.. thanks for sharing

Hey

That might be helpful for you to understand the reason behind it - http://cryptoandblockchaintalk.com/why-do-prices-drop-when-an-ico-ends-27

Take care!

Because of bonuses. When bonuses are too high, ICO investors can sell tokens lower than ICO price, so it affects market price and it is obvious.

No real product or working product, so who need token? its look so volatile or dump and pump scheme, early investor with big discount dump the price and bounty hunter involved..

The product is the service of the coin they are launching coin for the services, if a normal person does not knoe how it works they will really think that it has no product and they will not benefit for it. But since the pump and dump scheme are happening that is the reason why the ICO does not have a good reputation.

This comes in mind whenever I consider investing in ICO's. I think we can trace the issue to a wide range of variables, mostly attributed to bounty hunters dumping their coins immediately after listing. This has made some projects adopt the idea of locking tokens for airdrop and bounty participants for a certain period of time and it has not been that effective as desired. It could be from early investors who had a huge bonus and getting a X5 even before the coin lists.

Basically, large funds and companies invest in ICO! And the price of tokens is less than they actually write on the sites ! Therefore, the market price is lower!

it is very good that recently they have ceased to accuse the participants of the Bounty companies that the prices of tokens are falling. First of all, it is necessary to consider the investment attractiveness of the project and the public interest in this company.

Yes, the market situation isn't very good. Just checked some statistics of this year and the number of ICO's have started to fall after May. When in May there was 144 ICO's, then in September there was only 56 - a drastic fall. Seems that the market situation being the way it is, is heavily influencing the number of ICO's been conducted.

in many cases where the roadmap cannot run smoothly and many holders form their own prices from their coin inputs in the forkdelta or other decentralized markets, this causes unstructured prices according to plan because they are dominated by sellers who damage prices below the ICO.

Many projects this year choose to lock their coins for several months until they enter the exchange they want, this is annoying but it might be very effective to prevent a big difference from the initial price.

it's true what you say, because the price drops usually because the token holder is getting tired of waiting for the project to run according to the roadmap, resulting in the effect of dumping the token price.

Token prices usually fall immediately when the ICO is finished, there are many causes, one of which is that the founder of ICO may not support coins that have started to enter the exchange, and maybe also because of the influence of the bounty campaigns that sell the tokens obtained.

I think because of some reasons:

1- The crypto market is bearich.
2- Most of ICO's don't have a good team.
3- They don't plan to create a real good community of real investors.
4- ICO price is sometimes overpriced.
5- They didn't collect enough funds in ICO.
6- They gave a lot of money in Airdrop and Bounty... etc

What do you mean by "the founder of ICO may not support coins that have started to enter the exchange". Sorry, no getting the point. Please elaborate  Smiley
