With the millions of people who are into crypto currency right now, it is sad to say that there are still people who will fall to the trap of scammers with sweet tongue. It would be good if the team that planned to launched an ICO should be verified thoroughly if they are legitimate or not to prevent another scam.

many of icos give a good profit, just investing is not for everyone, you have to make a big research, find information, etc. that is a hard work, maybe harder than trading.

In general I'd recommend not investing in an ICO unless you really do their research on them and make sure they're run by real people. ICOs are risky but they have the potential to really pay off. So long as the large reward is there, people will take the risk.

I think it is not fair to quickly claim that all ico are scams. Yes there have been a lot of scam ico lately but I believe there are still good ones available out there. It is just a matter of how well you spot and find a good ico to invest in. ICOs should just get funded from VCs and do an airdrop to community.

Most ico can be done open source on github for free.. the greed in creating all of these project is stifling growth. A lot of innovation come from free open source project from passionate developers.

Im 3 years in this field and strictly advice you do not invest in any ico at all.

I do not concur with this, admits of scam & fake ico, there are ico with potential that can deliver you have to screen them thoroughly out of 100 there should be ico with great prospects.

Hey buddy that is only related with market. Icos are gone now but they will be back more powerful in next bull market..
Yes i agree with you 70 percentage of icos are scam but that is not mean they died already. Only in bear market collecting money is getting more hard day by day and
after hitting exchanges tokens are rekting more easily than before so they are not doing ico in that time that is the only reason.

Not all ICO projects are scam but this might really be not the time for ICO investments because of the negative market scenario this year which highly affects the market value of ICO tokens upon being listed in different exchangers, negatively. We should rather wait for recovery to hapen in cryptomarket and avoid selling the token holdings. Be patient for now and wait for changes to occur that will turn the tables around.

Investing to iCO need to take a risk so invest only the money that you can afford to lose but you can avoid iCO who are scam by doing research and following most people because the more people investing one project hey will know that is legit.

There is a lot of truth and facts in what you said, the reality is a lot of ICO is just made to raise money, money that is not really needed to build the project, you will see projects with a hard cap of $10 million and when you look in there product you will see it can be done with just a few thousand.

The current ICO model needs to be changed a lot of things need to be done to protect investors, or sooner or later all the investors will just move on to something that can offer them some way to protect their capital.
