Do not invest in ICO anymore. Do not Feed scammers

Everybody is entitled to his/her opinion and i can't say that you are right or wrong. It's true that there are a lot of scam ICOs this year but not all, there are also legit and we just need to thoroughly verify it on our own. The risk is high in investing in ICO but the reward will also be great if successful though.

this will also eventually stop. as you can see it is being slowed down drastically as the scams became severe and clear to everyone. but like always there will be gamblers who will ignore all the warnings and still participate in the scams letting these ICO scammers take their money and run away with it. but as they also lose money they will also stop at some point and we can finally close this dark chapter in cryptocurrency market and put an stop to the ICO nonsense.

Exactly. That's why it's pointless to abandon all ICOs, even if that was possible, in order to avoid scamming. Being around for quite some time, ICOs are at least something known to people and now it's not that easy to run a scam project, because major exchanges  would not list your tokens, for one thing. Also people know how to research about a project, checking out the team, project's ratings etc. While if new scamming schemes would appear many people would be their victims because of not being prepared.

So, I think that not investing in ICO anymore is not the answer. We should rather spend more time on research and invest in some of those 10% of ICOs which are good ones.

I agree with some of your statements that it is really not suitable for investing in ICO, because there are too many fraudsters here, they make a lot of shitcoin and then start to lie to everyone. But at the same time, I also believe that there are still some real teams doing some useful research. We can invest in such ICOs, but now it is difficult for us to pick them out among the many fake ICOs.

What makes y'all think that even if you are investing in what is already in the market you are still not feeding scammers? Most of the coins in the market do not even have any real life product and some teams do not even have any plans at all to want to build any. If you invest in such projects for the long term, I see no difference in someone who is investing in scam ICOs as well.

What is important is for you to know that due diligence is important and any project you are not comfortable investing in based on some of the things you have seen from your due diligence, then do not invest in it. The fact that there are scam ICOs does not mean there are no good ones, it is only dependent on how smart you are to identifying them.

I agree that we should not feed scammers and should be careful while investing, but at the same time we should keep in mind that development of crypto market is impossible without new projects. I think rating platforms should be more resize and realistic while rating ICOs. I personally always look at icoguide.com's rates as they are not paid, but not all platforms are so fare.

Well if there are a real project (With trustworthy Team) which is really willing to distirbute Their tokens! There are Many ways Without Doing ICO!

ICOs should just get funded from VCs and do an airdrop to community.

Most ico can be done open source on github for free.. the greed in creating all of these project is stifling growth. A lot of innovation come from free open source project from passionate developers.

Im 3 years in this field and strictly advice you do not invest in any ico at all.

Yes you're right most of the ICOs out there are scam, but with the right research and decision before participating in an ICO can lower the chances that the ICO your investing or participating on is a scam. Also there are still good ICOs out there with projects that could really be of great help on the crypto community. I agree that you should not let scammers do their thing. I think that being aware and doing enough research before investing on an ICO could save you from a lot trouble.

Hey, I'm kind of a lazy adventurist on all the crypto market of course I have invested in it quite a lot but there are still many good projects out there. For example for tourism, medicine, artificial intelligence and etc. Yes you may never see your crypto again but remember that Bitcoin used to cost a few cents in the begining.  Always invest smart and think twice before taking actions.

According to my calculation and analysis, I can say that 10 out of 100 ICO are really working on improving their product.And it's not bad.Many have stopped investing now because of the red market.I am also sure that there are still good ideas and people who will conduct ICO not only for the purpose of enrichment.And I do not understand the thoughts of investors who make an investment, immediately after the listing of tokens hope to get rich.As a rule, to make a profit from investments in ICO, you need to wait for a certain time.

Yes, mostly (98-99%) they are scammers. I just wondered in 2017 how easy people  gave their money to everyone who called their 'projects' ICO. But i think it is still exist small hope that some projects really will give us innovations and great development.

I think you shouldnt think only about icos. Icos are dead because of bear market like all the altcoins. So we dont need to be enemy for icos. That is only market cycle. In next bull i am sure we will see to much ico again with good roi.

I still buying an ico if the project looks good and the team member looks legit, with one condition, their giveaway plan must not be so much, if the project held a big giveaway, i usually buying the project in an exchanger not on ico

Some ICOs may have a great business model but instead of doing a traditional fund raising or an IPO, they opted for a token sale. Their tokens have no real utility and are only used as a speculation device. The ICO fatigue is clearly shown in the current market state. However, there are still projects with a real use case for their token and application backed by a strong industry and those projects will thrive.

not every ico is a scam and there are really good projects in the ico market. if you find such a project, you can support the ico quietly. but unfortunately many ico are currently a scam and it is really not easy to find a good project.

You right, we cannot generalize that all ico do scamming on investors? the proof of the project that I bought successfully listed in exchange and I managed to profit? the point is to stay away from suspicious projects by looking at certain aspects, and looking for potential projects..

Yes you're right. maybe now, it's very different from before. The existing ICO in 2017, 80% shows very good things. it makes the price of bitcoin and ETH higher. well, but I think this year there are so many people who use ICO for certain purposes. well, I hope the ICO in 2019 will be better.

ICOs cannot keep robbing people with white papers. 99% of icos scamming people! For example Recently GoNetwork basically did that. Raise 50 million and now have market cap of 3 million. And they have absolutely nothing to show for it.

Perhap you were right about what you said, but not all project were that way, there are also project that truly manage their project without having even a glimpse of thought on their mind to cheat on the investors. So you need to make your opinion to be specific to those project that are fake/scam.

Indeed. Most funds collected in ICO's tends to go toward marketing and exchange listings (which are pretty expensive).

They can grow up only with our investment, market with out ICO's product will not same anymore. This is business and we all know fund take the biggest part, until now I never see ICO can success with out investment. You should built your idea become reality to give us proof that your way is the right thing, but I doubt that.
