Yes, Investing in ICO means feeding scammers money! We should stop promoting scam and dead things! The crypto market will do better without more ICO tokens. Most of the token will turn into garbage, no doubt. So, better we should invest in Bitcoins and other potential altcoins!

Yes it is true, I will also agree to invest our money in the top coins rather than investing in ICO. But this does not mean that the ICO project is futile or does not generate profits or waste time, it does not mean that. There are still serious ICO projects to develop their projects but because many scammers make this project difficult to attract investors to invest in the project.

Investing in ICOs and IEOs is becoming more of a gamble with the odds stacked against the you.  Many projects are just out to defraud investors.  It is up to the investor to carry out his due diligence before investing in a project,  if at all.  Well IMO offers a new model for investing in projects.  You could have a closer look at it.

ICOs should just get funded from VCs and do an airdrop to community.

Most ico can be done open source on github for free.. the greed in creating all of these project is stifling growth. A lot of innovation come from free open source project from passionate developers.

Im 3 years in this field and strictly advice you do not invest in any ico at all.

You have point but you should consider also the effect of no new projects at all, let's say that ICO's, STO's and IEO's will be stop then there is a big possibility that almost all of the investors will stop investing and the demand in every coins/altcoins will start to goes down.

What makes the investors become more active are the return of investment and if there will be no chance for them to profit then they will surely stop investing. And worst scenario will be, the crypto community will start to die as many will be affected to it like the bounty hunters, investors and other entities that offers their services in exchange to tokens/coins of new project. Though your idea is good to avoid those scammers but in overall, I think it is not a good idea.

If the scam project team has bad intentions and these intentions can be done with the crowd, why don't they launch the bounty campaign to attract other bounty hunters? agree with you 1000% . If a project launches today without the capital to stand on its own to feet . It's not legit. NO more crowd funding through crypto. Starve these scammers out tell they start sending out nigerian prince emails and mail that indicate you can get millions of $$. You just have to send them enough $$$ to cover the transfer fees

Yeah, better to stick to ieo lunch on big exchange or good volume exchange than any small ones that don't have much support, honestly, it is not as if ieo is 100% guarantee but looking at what ico's has turned into, it is much safer to invest in ieo than ico's, although just because this are lunched in an exchange doesn't mean we shouldn't carry out a research also.

Investing in Initial Coin Offering (ICOs) is not guaranteed to give us a good profit. Especially now that the new tokens listed on the exchange are not up in price and are falling further.
So even though the project is successful, we still don't make a lot of profit on it
