As we can see from the ETH's past life it is not the reliable coin for future when LTC has all chances and characteristics to be there and to have a quite good up.

Ethereum has been a trusted and reliable coin for so long. Litecoin is developing and doing a decent job, but Ethereum still holds the upper hand. Litecoin might one day surpass Ethereum, but for now I'd stick with Ethereum.

Ethereum has more business oriented support behind it.  The ICO phenomenon is just too huge to ignore when it comes to such comparisons between LTC and Ethereum.  They are both good coins and have important value.  I would just say that Ethereum is a more present and tangible value even though it hasn't been around as long as LTC.

Winklevoss Twins' Gemini Crypto Exchange Gets Regulatory Green Light for Litecoin Trading

U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange Gemini, owned by the Winklevoss twins, has sealed regulatory approval to add Litecoin (LTC) custody and trading. The news comes from an official Medium blog post published Friday, Oct. 12.

Gemini’s vice president of engineering, Eric Winer, informs Gemini traders that they can begin depositing Litecoin into their exchange accounts as of 9:30 am EDT Saturday, Oct. 13. Litecoin trading will reportedly go live Tuesday, October 16th at 9:30 am EDT.

The coin is set to be the fourth crypto supported on the platform, alongside Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Zcash (ZEC). Consequently, LTC trading pairs will be available against all three cryptos, as well as against the U.S. dollar.

Winer’s post underscores Gemini’s thoroughgoing “banking compliance and fiduciary obligations” under oversight from the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS). It notes that Litecoin trading support comes as the result of close cooperation with the watchdog, and that the exchange continues to expand with a “security-first” approach.

It sickens me to no end how the crony US gov allows freaks from the families to get their hooks into the pie before everyone else.  This is just another classic case.

However, allowing mainstream trading of any crypto can only be a good thing.

Litecoin is a natural fit to start.  It's not the most popular currency at the moment but this could shine a bright light on it, causing more of the masses to open their eyes to this stuff.

I've always believed we are headed for a cashless society.  The govs in power have to tip toe there though.  They are currently acting like cryptos are the devil (projecting) and the people must be protected from them; meanwhile, behind the scenes, they are hiring the big guns and creating a infrastructure so they can control it, behind the scenes.

With my little knowledge in the industry, I think holding or investing in Ethereum is better than Litecoin. Ethereum platform has more better features than Litecoin and better use case . The price is increasing gradually and this is best time to invest in it.

As the crypto is a currency of the future, many might foresee the potentiality of what it can achieved. So launching the Ltc and ETh might be a best decision for them, and for altcoins too. None will just really chickened out by hearing the investment in crypto.

I would prefer LTC over ETH as concerned with the unexpected downtrend of ETH following BTC downfall in the recent last months.  I think LTC will overcome ETH if ETH continued to fall in coming months.

Both coins are interesting to invest in, LTC I like because it has the lowest drop in percentage and it has survived, ETH king ICO. Based on today's prices need to take both coins.

If you can afford to invest in both, then go ahead. But I would still love for you to have some ethereum as its a very important coin in the crypto space, like we cannot overlook how important it is. So I advice you get ethereum or both litecoin and ethereum

It is true it is. ethereum even more obviously has a definite growth and development. Although litecoin also grow but both quite appreciably further. the best choice will certainly fall on ethereum because of this more mature in the system than litecoin.

Lightcoin is very similar to Bitcoin, but I do not think that in the near future he will repeat his “feats”. By this, I choose Ethereum.

Difficult question. ETH of course very much decreased in price and is now very attractive to buy. But still I prefer LTC, I think it will prepare a surprise for us in the future. ETH is the fuel for the ICO market, I think the fuel should not be expensive, so my choice is LTC.

For me I trust ETH more than LTC because ETH is more flexible also ETH has more supporter than LTC, so I choose ETH.

If budget friendly, LTC is the one but if you want to have ETH follow your will of having it.

I won't choose any of them because they are both good IMO so there's no need to put pressure on yourself by choosing between the two.

Ethereum has great potential for growth, also a lot of professional traders recommend to trade in pair eth/altcoin.
