Facebook is not against Bitcoin but rather intends to avoid the situation of misleading its community members through its paid advertisement. Users of facebook can post crypto and Bitcoin related topics on facebook without any penalty.

It is actually right that in the world of Bitcoin and cryptos there are many villains that try their best to disrepute this world by doing scams on larger scale. On lower scale the scams can be negotiable but the larger scammer sharks are havoc to the world of cryptos.

Facebook and other social media platforms might also have had faced huge losses due to inflation and sudden strikes in the price of Bitcoin and other cryptos. That can also be the reason for them to not accept and allow Bitcoin and others for paid advertisements.

I guess Mark Zuckerberg is planning to promote his own crypto. As we all know that there are lots of money involve if Facebook is gonna tokenize every products and services that they offer online. There's a very high possibility of success since Facebook has already build a name and there's no need to pay for advertisements online. I guess this is one of the main reasons why Mark is banning paid crypto ads in Facebook. This is just my own opinion though since Mark is a businessman and he won't let this opportunity to make a single dime out of this awesome technology pass.

Facebook is a commercial platform. They wanted to ban cryptocurrency ads, but then they changed their minds.

They did not want to lose millions of dollars from the ads they received.

I wouldn't say that Facebook is against Bitcoin but they are very cautious and trying to protect their users.
Having in mind how huge user network they have, they have some responsibilities. And the great deal of money that is coming from advertising. But some crypto adds might be connected with scams and they don't want to have anything with that or take some responsibility.
There are also some rumors that Facebook is going to launch its own currency although I don't believe much in that.

There are also some rumors that Facebook is going to launch its own currency although I don't believe much in that.

Well that rumor has been circulating for month, Facebook Plans to Create Its Own Cryptocurrency. There's too much money to made in crypto perhaps they wanted a piece of the action. So don't be surprise in the next 2-5 years if they released their own tokens to facilitate some form of payment on their social platform.

yes actually I have known this since yesterday, when facebook tried to ban cryptocurrency actually their goal was to reduce a lot of scams that occurred in Facebook ads because of the many scams committed by ico who were not responsible, and many of the facebook community reported ico, maca from that facebook banned adverts related to cryptocurrency. but from the latest news that I am now Facebook has unbanned cruptocurrency and is more selective of which ads could potentially scam

I think they actually did but later maybe changed there mind because icos also help there popularity.

I guess Mark Zuckerberg is planning to promote his own crypto.

We have been hearing that for the beginning of this year when the ban news stated but nothing has happened. I think that could just be a hype to zugerberg business.

Facebook is out to protect there platform, base on the fact that Bitcoin is still a currency with several controversy globally base on issues surrounding it's existence, volatility  and the coin being use by terrorist to purshase arms and ammunition and also by drug dealers, Over time sure this challenges will be overcome and several social media platform will have confidence on Bitcoin.

Facebook hell isn't against bitcoin, why would they want to do that, the facebook network is just being careful so that it's platform isn't used to propagate scam information..

Bitcoin happens to be used a lot by scammers, either proposing for users to double their bitcoin or deposit to claim bitcoins, its just so sickening, and worse of this scammers use the facebook networks to try out their petty tricks
I think that's the very reason why Mack is a bit sceptical about bitcoin ADS on his platform.
You wouldn't really blame him, would you?

Facebook are rather wary of cryptocurrency in general and not bitcoin. Particularly the rise of ICOs and rampant cases of scam projects.
Facebook are rightly trying to protect it's users form exposure to scam.
And It has to swing the hammer on all coins.

No, I do not see facebook banning any ICO ads. You can advertise any project on facebook without being played. So do not worry too much because facebook information will ban advertising electronic money. Advertising the ICO project on facebook is helping them make a huge profit, so they will not ban it.

Yes, Facebook made a good step for the blockchain and for their users. Because a lot of scam ICO projects kept using Facebook ads to promote their shit! Actually, facebook only banned Bitcoin-related Paid advertisement. Otherwise, Anybody can make a crypto related posts/status or hashtags! Last month, I tried to boost one of my crypto related article, Facebook ads team disapproved my request, And I haven't get the refund also  Grin

Facebook is positive about bitcoin, and that's good. I think in the near future Facebook will create its own cryptocurrency.

If you just understand carefully what I posted then you wouldn't be asking for any news about it. It was just my honest opinion that he might be promoting his own crypto that's why he doesn't want any paid ads running in Facebook. Wink

Mark Zuckerberg certainly has his own reasons and goals about banning crypto ads but if it is called financial loss to the company I am not sure. Facebook is a media giant and we all know and advertise there is very beneficial for everyone and certainly for Mark Zuckerberg,
