About Us What is Bittrex?Built and operated in the United States, Bittrex is the next generation crypto trading platform created by security professionals. We are crypto-coin enthusiasts bringing more than 50 years of combined security and development experience to the trading community from companies, including Microsoft, Amazon, Qualys, and BlackBerry. Given the recent security breaches and reliability issues experienced by other markets, we felt the community deserved better. If virtual currencies are to truly take off, trustworthy infrastructure is a prerequisite. At Bittrex, our mission is to deliver the fastest and most secure trading platform available. At this time, we are launching with 12 currencies and plan to add more to meet demands as our community grows. As security is our top priority, during the platform preview we will be offering a bug bounty for critical bugs reported to us. More information at mailto:support@bittrex.com. What makes Bittrex different?Secure platform – We know that security makes the difference and to that end Bittrex employs the most reliable security technologies available. As part of this approach, we leverage an elastic multi-stage wallet strategy ensuring that 80-90% of funds are offline and safe. Additionally, two-factor authentication is required for all withdrawals and API usage. At Bittrex, security will always be a key factor that impacts every development decision we make. Custom built trading engine – Our custom trading engine was designed to be scalable using elastic computing. The Bittrex platform processes and executes orders as soon as they are placed so you will never see a crossed order book or delay in processing of any trades. Fast deposits and withdrawals – Our highly efficient and automated monitoring platform allows us to give you the fastest transactions available today. This includes updates on balance, trade, and wallet information. You will never be left wondering where your funds are or if your deposits are blocked, as information is always up to date. Complete and easy REST API – Our full featured set of APIs allows you to withdraw as easily as you deposit, as well as trade, and exchange. Bittrex was built with high frequency trading in mind. We have designed the most complete API set for developers to build on our platform. Founders Bill Shihara Rami Kawach Richie Lai Ryan Hentz I like this part " we leverage an elastic multi-stage wallet strategy ensuring that 80-90% of funds are offline and safe". A hack against BITTREX means only a maximum of 20% of your coins on BITTREX can be lost. You should feel confident trading $THC on BITTREX.

Can someone please provide some nodes? We have 0 connections. If we cannot get the blockchain moving, we will be disabling the wallet and delisting the market.

Thanks. I think I will store my coins at Bittrex for now. I think there is room for competion in the Cannabis coin sector. Just like Visa, Mastercard and Amex except we are not based on debt. All it will take is for one of the coins to make a big advance and the others should rise too. There were thousands of historical uses for hemp in the past and there may be hundreds of applications in the future. This coin could be more successful if it attracts the broader legal product sector as well as the medical cannabis sector to accept and use it.

Looks like THC got bought up today. Should we all go in on a hosted node service like: https://bitnodes.net/service/crowdfunding/We should also try to find a dev who wants to work for a THC bounty to fix PoS and add in a new checkpoint.

It would require a coin swap and a new blockchain would be created to switch to ethereum. I maybe think it's a better plan to switch to a pure PoS Scrypt coin code base like CannaCoin CCN at this time.
Ethereum is PoW right now. I think we could get a more stable blockchain going with PoS. Once Ethereum with PoS is out then we can switch over and start creating a really good DApp that people want. The smart people tell me the current Ethereum doesn't scale and to wait until Ethereum updates to PoS.

Everything ethereum is going nuts. How does a coin switch to ethereum? and when is the planned switch to PoS? still a long time aways it seems. *edit, seems like you already answers some of my questions on your second post...haha. mind reader you...

It's too bad the original dev seems to be gone completely. He was, maybe still is, in university so maybe he will be back around April 20th. I think that's about when all exams are over. It would be nice to get the PoS fixed in this coin or to move it to pure PoS. To switch to a different code base like Ethereum it would require a coin swap like this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=880220.0Those are the guidelines I wrote up over a year ago and people are starting to prove they are possible to follow. Switching to Ethereum would be harder because wallet keys are different. You would have to lock coins in smart contracts that can be opened with the old (current) THC private keys.

Any possibility of negotiation with the other Hempcoin? A dispute could occur in the future over the name. This coin was likely first but a legal case would be costly and time consuming. Perhaps a merger is possible. Other coins such as VPN have reached some innovative solutions in sending their blockchain in one file making wallet installation much quicker. It took me a long time to install the Windows wallet. THC also needs an Android wallet for phones.

I really wish Hempcoin used HEMP instead of THC as the ticker.. while it must've sounded cool at the time, logically just it don't make no sense. isn't hemp supposed to be absent of thc? the coin it self is good, the branding can go maybe do a make over like dash? since we talking about the new wallet.
