This blockchain does in fact use both tickers HEMP and THC. Someone back awhile ago tried to take over and make this HEMP. The user experience can be different on two different apps that use this single blockchain. One can be called HEMP the other can be called THC. I wonder if bittrex would allow a coin to have two ticker symbols? Probably not cause it would get out of control. I can open https://hemp.cash back up for a small user group if there is a store or dispensary interested in accepting this coin this April 20th. It was a really cool site where I had over 10,000 user join in a day and crash the system. It works on everything as it was an HTML5 cloud wallet. I can only handle 500 or less users per $10 server. So 10,000 users = $200 a month. If the site kept growing quickly it would then need $1000+ a month. Then $10,000 a month. It didn't have any bugs in the UI, it was easy to use and it never got hacked. I actually use bittrex as a web wallet on android. It works great.

Interesting. I got the Windows wallet working and transferred my coins. I am not sure who bought $800 worth this past week causing the price to rise but it wasn't me. I guess I have to wait for a while for the coins to mature before trying mining THC or HMP.

PoS isn't working, so maturity has no meaning, but The Hemp Coin is mineable with cpu or gpu

I have a ROG gamer laptop with a Nvidea GEForce gpu. I have been using it with VPN which has Pos for more than 6 months. I bought Bitcoin when it was below $1 and I tried to mine with a fast desktop but did not have much luck. I work with computers and my wife is a software engineer but we have not done any work on coins or blockchain, but I'm learning.

Good to see THC grow some. That was my 169 sat 77777.77777777 order at peak. Cheers Since launch, dev likes to come and go. Weed coins do have a hard time, but do some spectacular fat finger jumps. One has to succeed, why not this one? Err .. ran out of things to say .. so .. 3 HOURS The Last of the Mohicans Theme Instrumental Soundtrack | Epic Music - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RngJSy4kfck ... chill.

I work with computers and my wife is a software engineer.
From what I can tell, ETH 2.0 will be built using the programming language Scala. I will be building a mobile app that talks to this Scala server using AIR/AS3. If your wife knows Scala then her talents will be in high demand. I will most likely switch THC from the bitcoin based c++ code to the Ethereum 2.0 based Scala code. You would then be able to do really amazing stuff with THC. Of course if no one follows my fork then THC will remain as is.

She graduated almost 20 years ago and was trained mainly in machine language. Her degree was in Automated Control Systems. That is the field I work in too. I have a computer programming certificate, but I work as an engineer.

There are a few coins swapping to ETH based, Gaia being most recent announced publicly and I know a couple that aren't public. Not sure what to make of it, ETH sure made some very rich in past month and EXP pump was something else, so the natural tendency is to jump on the bandwagon. X11 only works for DASH/DRK ... because of the block reduction with high hash power and DRK Team 50Ghs mining it for 2 years. That is what many coins found out after swapping to X11 or new ones, they are made to be centralised not propagated. I've still got my THC from Scrypt mining days and 45 day wait for stake. I vote Yes for ETH change.

I cloned ETH 1.0 within the first week it came out. I was going to switch THC a long time ago but ETH 1.0 wasn't good enough for me. Proof-of-Work is quite wasteful compared to Proof-of-Stake and Proof-of-Work doesn't scale to millions of users.
ETH 2.0 is Proof-of-Stake and ahead of schedule. We may be able to get a really strong network with only 10 or 20 community members running nodes.

The big question is; What cool thing do we want to do with the network?
- A payment processor - A hemp social network - Hemp futures in smart contracts
What else can it do?
I think a social network would be the easiest to build. Then once there are users, move to something more serious like a payment processor for hemp based goods and services.

I think it would be a lot easier to get stores, producers and such to use THC/HEMP if we had a popular app with a million users.

One idea I had was to create a market for the buyers and sellers of medicinal herbs. It would be similar to the auction in Entropia. Presently legal cannabis suppliers could offer their products. The currency of the market could be Hemp coin. This means that the coin would be convertable to other national fiat currencies. The coin could have an exchange like Virwox. The coin would make profits from exchange and trading and distribute them to coin owners. My wife had an idea to use a virtual game like Farmville in a website. People could "plant" virtual herbs and the money would could be given as microloans to growers. The virtual game could host ads and storefronts as well as being part of a trading exchange. We recently bought a large and rather expensive book about Native American medicinal plants. This is one product Hemp coin could advertise and sell along with hemp products. http://www.essiacinfo.org/

I used to buy bitcoin using Virwox. I now use We Sell Crypto. Hempcoin could offer THC coins directly in exchange for using a simple platform like We Sell Crypto or get listed as a coin they sell first. https://wesellcrypto.com/

18 months ago that was what I planned for EMC2, coupled with a PHd Bio Chemist who made the recipes over 30 years. Sadly, she passed away last year so that was that. However, if anyone is actually planning something along these lines, I would love a chat at some point. Still trying to get my hands on that recipe book, there are some crazy wild herbs and flowers all around that offer better results with various illnesses than pharma and no side-effects, unless you count some taste terrible as a side-effect.

It would make it so easy to get them. It would be cool if I could sell a hardware wallet that come with a coupon to get a bunch of free coins loaded onto the hardware wallet that the user buys. It doesn't have to be a super fancy hardware wallet. Just something where a user can generate private/public key pairs. Then it can come with the coupon to get your free hempcoins. Actually I've contact suppliers in China and I can get really old Android phones for $20. Install a program on that. It's a hardware wallet. Then sell them for like $200 but they come with a coupon for free hempcoins... like $150 worth of them for free.

I think Hempcoin should stay away from illegal markets. There are at least 26 licenced cannabis production licenced companies in Canada that would likely advertise and trade their products including legally made Rick Simpson oil on a well run exchange. There could be many markets for legal herbs and hemp crafts and products that could established in a exchange using the blockchain format.

I agree. Legal stuff is way better. Things like Hemp protein power, hemp oil and hemp cereal might sell well. A small community of 1000 shoppers could bring in a few BTC of volume each day. From there the community could grow fast. Someone in the community has connections to a popular clothing line related to THC in the UK. They're interested in being part of this if we can every get a good user base going on.

I had to reload the THC wallet. I deleted everything in the uses/appdata/roaming file except wallet.dat and the wallet loads and shows my coins as unconfirmed. However the wallets is Offline with 0 active connections and won't sync. Any ideas?
