Ok I believe we have found the problem with staking. We need just a few THC to test staking. Also if there are any other changes you would like , now would be the time before we test, compile and finish. I need 100 THC total to HHeBf7rBJHuF7ov81Z7XPYYoevYp9ozLJ8

Thank you.

Vegas

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

Thanks for fixing this. You are the best. I'm not sure what the best PoS rate is. 5% every 45 days was the original way but that seems like too many coins for PoS. What would you recommend as working the best for other coins?

@vegas
(still waiting for peers) (synchronizing) will send some THC asap

also, i have the old wallets archived if that helps, afaik, they were all fully functional, except the one we're on now

- Update the wallet to 1.8.0
- Mac & windows clients

I am not sure if this is fixable but the wallet crashes after wallet.dat file gets too big with too many transactions and accounts. I think this happens with all coins, right?

it would be great if you knew how to get this onto https://coinomi.com/
I have always wanted to use THC on that app. If you are interested in doing that after this wallet stuff, let me know.

Is @blakeaholics still around? He was the genius behind the logo. Maybe he has some ideas on making the wallet look nicer.

[edit] sending 100 thc to HHeBf7rBJHuF7ov81Z7XPYYoevYp9ozLJ8, still have 83thc w/some coinage if you need them

[edit2] HEY Peeps! looky here - back in february '16 richie from bittrex posted in this thread that he was unable to connect with any nodes. i saw his post, started my wallet and posted some nodes. some time went by, and most likely that session, like many since i started mining, ended with a blue screen or some other sudden unexpected shutdown or reset. i say this because i hadn't loaded the wallet since then, but i was very surprised to find that the wallet had staked while up for bittrex!!! omg look wtf lol

Guys here is the blockchain Synced up to today along with the Peers.dat file that will give you connections. We believe we know why the staking is broken, but we had to sync it to be sure. So, we are on it. Now that its synced , start connecting to each other to make your network strong, and leave your wallets open, and we will have you staking soon. If there are any spec changes let I or Griffith know soon, as we are looking over the code. Maybe the post this on the OP as I wont take it down from my server.

I have contacted Vegasguy and I will pony up the BTC. Maybe he can help with a wallet direction

Oh great NEWS! I only saw this right now. I can throw in an additional THC tip for @vegasguy if staking gets fixed. We should all try to get him set up with enough THC that he can run a node and make enough THC from staking to cover the cost of the node + some.

Grifftih has our wallet fixed

Quote from: Griffith
i have fixed the wallet.

i can push the changes to the git and compile wallets for you whenever u want.

this will require a mandatory update because one of the problems stemmed from coins never being read to meet hash requirements. this meant you either had to stake over 100,000 coins at once to get a stake (like an exchange would) orrrr they had to be older than the max allowed age. so i adjusted the formula by 1 hard coded number and it worked. then i tweaked the miner itself a bit cuz that had a overwrite in it that wasnt correct and it works now.

let me know the block number or date of the year you plan to force people to update by so i can add some fork code so people dont split chains like crazy when they upgrade.

-Griffith

big thanks out to Hempcoin, Vegasguy, and Griffith

thinking it's been so long since we've seen any changes, it will take a while to propagate the news

March first anyone?

I have a node running. I can update it anytime. Who else is running a node? Bittrex and blockexperts are for sure. blockexperts.com/hemp says there are 6 nodes. bittrex says there are 3 nodes.

@Hempcoin should contact bittrex and let them know to disable the wallet for a week or 2 when we decide to upgrade the wallet.

@Hempcoin should update the OP and website links to the Windows, MAC and Linux installers.

Great news! Thanks everyone .... Always thought this coin had great potential, hence why I've stayed around. Even thought about using it as a currency in a small project I am undertaking. The fixed wallet and staking makes it much more usable and marketable to my colleagues. I have until now been reluctant to unveil it to them. Nice 1!
