I keep it on cold storage and that is it, because I do not think I can move with the market, it is a very hard thing to do.
I do that as well not only because I don't want to fall into a trading trap but also because I don't want the government and banks to know how much I'm holding. I could put it all on exchange like the traders do, but that would expose me and I'd have to pay taxes. Also, It would make my coins vulnerable and I don't want to hold money on exchange and I don't want to transfer fiat to a bank so the only way for me is to keep holding. |

What people don't understand is that Bitcoin as many other assets (investment funds, stocks etc.) has good and bad times. This has nothing to do with its value or potential, but that's the way investments market works.
You can have a look to IT stock crisis in early 2000s and you will find a lot of similitudes with Bitcoin. Personally, I believe in Btc and blockchain's potential and I'm sure that price will recover in the future.

i will look into the bitcoin as long term investment and i have no doubts that it will pay off and it will also give me less or lesser things to worry about as my mind will be off it and focused on better things and also by that time the SEC decisions on cryptocurrency may have be drawn and announced and investors will have committed more funds to make the industry juicy enough to cash out

Exactly, and a lot of the smaller companies did not survive the Dot-com crisis, but the larger companies <like Bitcoin> just grew stronger and this is why we have the Amazon's and Facebook of today. If you can do something better than other technologies, then your technology can succeed. <Bitcoin has the largest hashing power and the biggest decentralized network and it is supported by the largest user/merchant network> People must forget about the short-term goals and just focus on the long-term vision for this technology.  |

It makes sense to invest in Bitcoin now, when its price is low. Price cannot fall forever, sometime the moment will come when the Bitcoin chart will go up. Over time (5 or 10 years), the price of bitcoin will be much higher due to higher demand.

It will depends how long you want to hold bitcoin as your investment. If you only hold for 1 year, i think you won't get much profit, even will facing loss in the future. For example the peoples who bought bitcoin in december 2017. If they still holding their btc for 1 year, they won't get any profit because now in dec 2018 btc price is still far below the price they bought. Hold at least for 3 years. |

If you able to bought Bitcoin when it fall to 3.1k$ it should be a good opportunity to hold long term. I able to buy at that level but sold when it rally to almost 12% hoping it will corrected again and catch to the bottom but it wasn't happen though I regret I'm planning to buy some even when it touch to 4k$ and hold for long term.
