Do you always invest in top ranked coins?

At times like this, all cryptos are being negatively affected by the market downtrend so no matter a crypto is popular or not, profit will be hard to earn from investing to them. I hope they are always holding their coins and not the other way around. But it seems only few are really holding, many are selling off or just doing a day trade for now.

If and when the entire market goes down, that would always include even those at the top. However, if you invest in the top-rated coins, you are actually reducing your risks somehow. If and when the market dives, as it does every now and then, those at the top will definitely remain standing and alive. Those at the bottom part might go dead altogether. At least with those cryptos at the top rank, they have larger and more solid communities to rely on.
