The first 10 coins in Coinmarketcap can be invested and a 2-year investment. Then a nice gain can be achieved. Because every day the market becomes more and more recognized.

Hte point it that the top ranked coins are less likely to cllapse completely, and tend to suffer less in a bear market. So although BTC price dropped, it still fared better than ETH, which in turn fared better than most coins outside top 10, and so on. Also it is dangerous to start with less well known coins as you need to keep on top of all the news and rumours more as the prices for these tend to be more volatile.

With the current condition on the market, you still can do that on top 10 coinmarketcap. The price is easily go up and go down and you can do short-term trading with it. I also do short-term trading too but on top 10 cmc coin like ethreum and bitcoin cash. The result is so far so good. |

for some reason yes, i will buy a top ranked coin in cmc
but, when i see a good and potential coins in the lower rank, i will drop my money there too buddy
That is the 2017 tactic,,, it does not work anymore my friend. I look back in my past history and am thankful I invested most of my buys into top ranked coins, but also more importantly, projects that were alive and had existing use cases. I still have several investments from what looked like good potential coins but they had no USE cases. Could not buy anything with them could not use them for apps,,, and eventually they just died not just in terms of price but activity. That is why it should be wise to stick to top ranked coins for a solid foundation. |

I think that enthusiasts will not encourage cryptocurrency users to invest only in the highest rated cryptocurrencies. The fact is that it does not fully reflect the real demand for the market. I always invest in such coins. They have enough liquidity and volumes on any exchanges. At first. They are very similar on the BTC and trading to stable coin as USDT or same is very similar. Price graphs are the same but with features. And their movements are more predictable than other altcoins where it's a gambling.
crypto is unpredictable mate, for example at the beginning from this month bitcoin price run under $5500 but today the price of bitcoin running above $8500, and thats more than 50% rising only in this month, and sometimes the price could down hard just in few second right even a big and reliable cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin still unpredictable, right ? but, if we invest in a good and solid crypto project such as bitcoin and ethereum we can reduce the risk of investing in cryptocurrencies, because in my opinion a good crypto will rising its value for long term  |

I admire the style, buying the top 10 is just for gamblers who wants to play safe in crypto when there are still a lot of coins in the market that could give them better return provided they will be successful. Maybe diversifying on a currently strong coins and undervalued coins is the right thing to do, also having a long term and short term investments would make you a flexible trader or investor. |

Top ranked coins or the so called strong coins are good to invest when the price of bitcoin is surging because they can still able to go up and not so affected by price rally. Low ranked coins are profitable when the price of bitcoin is steady or moving slowly but they tend to go down if bitcoin is uptrend. Before investing in any coins, analyze the market and the coins you are planning to buy first.

True, it will give better profit if you find a good coin which are low in marketcap now. I am sure there's still a lot of undervalued coins in the market now, we have to exert an effort in researching as all of us here wants better profit, but most of us here does not have a big capital to earn a decent profit. Low marketcap coins could generate big profit so it's also worth risking for with our money. |

Not really. after booming with x10-x100 growth in the 2016-2017 period. The current market situation is almost saturated and has a high dependency mentality. Of course, the top currencies give you more opportunities and reduce speculation risks. therefore, just spend a catalog corner on the top pennies on the market and a little on new projects. It ensures that your funds are balanced with high profitability. Finally, it is a priority to stay long term. |

If the project is stalled then you will not see much trading as investors will dump the coin in the exchanges and more over these projects will be removed from exchanges from time to time if there is no improvement and we have seen that in the past and majority of the projects closed their offices when the market went down, so the validity of the project is directly related to the trading volume. |

You can always use diversions or splitting assets, it takes good understanding to make sure you are always in the right track. |

Of course I should invest in top ranked coins where there will be a high chance of making profit. In crypto space, one need to be very careful and do thorough research before investing in any project. There are some underrated coins that do extremely well but it's a bit risky cause you can't even tell which one will do well.

Bitcoin, ethereum, xrp and bnb are some of the best top coins because they already proven many times in the past. Top coins with active developers are good to buy because they keep on improving the features of the coins and further boost the price in the market. |

Learning from that basis is very important and you should be brave to speculate. I when I first entered crypto and did not trade well. I had a disadvantage because the market condition was decreasing sharply. However, it did not make me give up and I made a lesson for me. Entering the year 2019, I was able to make a profit from the top coin purchases. I temporarily do not make long-term investments, but daily trades are more profitable. |

For a beginner like you, you have to invest in top 10 marketcap coin. They are relatively stable than the small marketcap alts. And of course more reliable. Maybe in the future, you are going to prefer to invest smaller coin but you have to learn the dynamics of this market before.
