Do you always invest in top ranked coins?

I generally don't take a coin's market cap into consideration when I'm thinking about buying it.  Popularity, historical prices, and the strength of the community are usually the factors I look at.  But anyway, there are a lot of altcoins with much lower market caps than they had a couple of years ago, and I think there are a handful of them which are worth buying and holding.  A great deal of them are worth buying and trading in the short-term.  The altcoin market right now looks really attractive to me, because prices seem to be quite low--the question is whether any given coin is going to rebound.

I hear "undervalued" being used a lot with respect to cryptocurrencies, and it drives me nuts.  There's no way to put a value on any of these coins the way you can with things like stocks, which represent businesses that have earnings, pay dividends, etc.  The only tool you can really use to analyze cryptocurrencies is TA, and I'm an extreme skeptic of that method.  On the other hand, as I said above I do think that a lot of coins are trading at relatively low prices and might be worth buying (if you think they have a chance at climbing their way back to their previous ATHs).  If you call that "undervalued", we can agree on it.

Most of the suggestions mention investing in top ranked coins. My question is, does it always work? As far as I understand, the market is vulnerable and affects almost all the coins from top to bottom. How then you determine which ones would stay ?

Lets just say i invest 70% of my resources to top coins and 30% to risk in other coins. You should not just risk it all to make difference. Just playing safe but profitable ia also enough. As long as there is an income comming through your wallet then all of your strategies are good.

I consider myself a conservative investor, so I am one of those who have the majority of their capital in the top ranked coins. And obviously I'm not an exception, it's enough to see coinmarketcap to find out that 90% of the money invested in cryptos is in the first top-20.

It is true that many times I have tried new, "promising" coins, but in most cases my results have been very bad, so as a rule I only spend less than 10% of my investment capital on new coins.

It's not. Top ranked coins means they are well known in the community, it doesn't mean they are "always" good to invest. Still, even though they are the top one you have to look at the market and don't even try to hear anyone that ask you to invest in "X" coins if you are not willing to.

Yes, you are right it is always good to invest in potential coins which have active trading and active updates about their progress will always help the coin to increase their value, once the market starts recovering. We have to find those coins when the market situation is in completely down.

Yes sure, top-ranked coins are always my first choice, I invest Bitcoin, Ethruem, BttcoinCash, Monero. Besides these, I also invested some good alts, Historia, Cardano, Tron, Ontology, Dogecoin. I believe it is a good way to combine some top coins with some good alts.

Stay in the top-ranked coins. Check its volume and choose which has a cheap price among them then start playing on them.
If you are trying to learn the basics of crypto investing, always think of the top rank coins to avoid frustrations. All the frustrations are already in the top-ranked cryptos so because of that, these made them solid and landed them on the top list. If you are choosing newbie coins, there are no possibilities it can continue on existing with the market because there are still no huge supporters to back them up. It will just freeze in the trading platform until no volume to see in them.

I prefer to make an investment on top ranked coins. In my opinion top ranked coins has more chance to earn more profit and more sustainable than the others. I also feel more secure to invest on top ranked like bitcoin and ethereum.

On the topic, investing on top ranked coins does give out some confidence when it comes to long term aspect,it might not give you x100-x1000 returns but this is more worthy to invest on.

You said the truth, the markets are not going to reward for being loyal to the top coins. Buying a small marketcap and reliable project's altcoin will give a better return on the investment in a year or two. Belief is not something I consider in investing.

But you can be sure a small place and an altcoin are not in the top coin that can make you profitable or not, in addition, an altcoin that does not belong to the top of altcoin always has hidden dangers that we cannot know, agree that profits are often very high but the problem is that we are in a situation where we can win at a relative level, not even too high. The best top coins on my list is ethereum and bitcoin other altcoins have higher risks and you will need to do your own research on them before investing,i believe that altcoins with low market caps under top 100 will have better ROI in future if you can find them.

Yes, the market move is unpredictable. But if you invest in top ranked coins, your money is safer than investing in shitcoins.
Because most of them are a real project and they are not running with investor money, not like a fake project.

No i dont invest in top ranked coins because i dont have enough cash and since many top ranked coins i like are overpriced i always go for top100 most times and i understand how risky that is but still i chose new projects over old projects
