Do you always invest in top ranked coins?

Not always, but in the last time, I mentioned that investing in "promising" altcoins won't bring you much benefits.  I hope things will change in the future, but for now the best choice is top altcoins like ETH, BCH, LTC and of course the main crypto currency.

Investing in potential altcoins is always good, but we have to invest in the right time because if we invest in the high value it is impossible to make profits quickly. So it is always good to invest when the coin prices are at the deepest level, which will help us to make fast money with the recovery.

I rather to risk all my money to invest in top cryptocurrencies than using to invest some altcoins. I always invest in top rank cryptocurrencies and mostly I invest in bitcoin ,ethereum and ripple. I have new one altcoin investment and it is binance coin and I know it is also belonged to the top rank cryptocurrencies. Maybe we can still invest in low rank altcoin because there is chance that they beat top rank altcoins.

More precisely, we need a long time to make money from the top coins because so many people choose, do not want to sell too early, it makes the price will be slow to develop and can not go up quickly, there are better and faster options for us to be profitable without having to focus on these top coins. But I certainly wouldn't recommend it as you when shitcoin is always something that is hard to profit, my better direction is that we should choose coins that are in relative rank, value and stable trend, they are usually pumped and dumped targets.

Yes, this is a really good approach to investing. The more knowledge about the project or token in the investor, the better. You need to very strongly analyze the project or token.

The only top rank coin i invest in is bitcoin and etherum. I divide my portfolio into some certain percentage.  I use some to invest in top rank coin and the rest to invest in undervalued coin. All i just do is to make some research on the said coin and buy it even if it is not a top ranked coin. Because most coin that give good ROI of x10 and above are not top ranked coin.  This is because of the market cap of the top ranked coin? It makes it difficult to give a crazy profit like low ranked coins with small market cap

Yes, you are right, but we should also check their updates and progress because by considering their prices, it is not a good idea. Low valued potential coins are showing their credibility slowly when the market starts recovering. Even potential coin is facing this downturn and it will take time to recover their prices.

Welcome to Cryptocurrency investing(specially to altcoins) those that you have mentioned are scam or shit projects and don’t really have the plan to go further to next level instead they created the project for sole intention and that is to profit instantly

But there are som that focusing in development,that’s why their currency has no activities because they are not into selling but to progress of the product and services

Yes, it's always a good and safe idea to bet on top "blue chip" or top-ranked coins. Especially with cryptocurrencies, you can never go wrong with high market cap coins that are much less prone to market manipulation.

On the other hand, if you want to make a killing, you'd have to invest in lesser known coins before they pop and grow exponentially.

Most of the suggestions mention investing in top ranked coins. My question is, does it always work? As far as I understand, the market is vulnerable and affects almost all the coins from top to bottom. How then you determine which ones would stay ?

nothing will "always work", there are always risks envolved, even with top ranking coins, so you should only invest what you can afford to loose...
to determine the coins to invest you need to read about each project (maybe start by top-ten) and check the ones where you see more future, best deal, more volume, etc...
of course tha safest way would be staying in BTC and Ether and not much more....

Whatever coin you choose, you should start with small amount of money to invest, so in case you loose everything, it won't affect you life much. Be smart, always make a research. Yes, you are right. Never let excitement take over your investor extinct. You may see a coin is going up like 10-15% daily so you plan to put all your investment in the coin but this is wrong strategy. Always try with small amounts at first and once you think you are veteran enough in market, then only go with full investment.

I'm not invest in all top ranked coin, only around 1 - 3 coins.
That is basicly to secure my asset if something wrong with altcoin. So if the price will drop, i don't get hurt too much.
Also top ranked coin is have small fee, so i can transfer with comfortable (maybe slow, but no problem)

80% for top ranked coins because the loss will not affect much when the price drops.
And the other 20% for new project coins because the potential of new coins are so big if the coin have a good marketing and management, but if it fails we'll probably lost everything we invest. But it's okay to try our luck

Yes, because in investing in top-ranked coins is safer and you will feel at ease knowing that your investing on coins that have higher value than the others. I think, it is only normal to invest on coins that is worthy of the risk since it is your hard earned money that you are using.
Also, by investing on top ranked coins is making sure that your assets are in good hands and that nothing can really go wrong with is that much because you have invested on the best coins.
