Why most people believe bitcoin to be worthless?

most people think that "No useful Dapp or any sort of business based on bitcoin or crypto in general that is making a decent amount of revenue except for exchanges and mining hardware companies.!"

If you have to debate with someone about the "real" value of bitcoin. rather than people buying it to sell it for more fiat , what are the proper arguments that you have to use ?

people have already built this kind of immune system against the benefits of Decentralization which is bitcoin strongest weapon.

i mean the average person does not really care about centralization, more than 90% of the world's population, go to work early morning, go home in the evening, get paid by the end of the month and really do not give a fudge whether their money is sitting at the bank or an Exodus wallet as long as they get to spend it.

that average person would buy into a new idea if it has something of a direct change on his life style, i mean if you were to invent a cheap flying car then the whole world would want to have it.

I was trying to promote bitcoin to one of my friends, and he did not seem to be impressed at all, a while later another friend of ours talked about this new product that you  can apply to your penis  and get an instant 0.5 cm extra length and my friend got so excited and said he is going to buy it.

it's not funny i know, but seems like he has got a small one and he needs to fix it. so he THINKS he is got a problem , therefore whatever solution you throw at him is an easy SELL.

but people do not really have any problem with fiat or how govs print money out of thin air. they really do not care as long as they get enough of it .

so what is the real use case that we can plant in these people's heads ? do we have to create a problem that matters to them and then propose bitcoin or crypto  in general to solve that matter?

how do you go about convincing some one into at least believing in bitcoin as appose to buying it. ?

yes i agree with you. Definitely most of bitcoin investors now arr panicking and losses hope with bitcoin as if its gonna end. I think without further knowing bitcoin may also comes back its price to much more higher about 6000$ in next year, who knows?its just that drops its price then who buys many coins can have many profits in the future.

Yes, Bitcoin might be dropping its current price but is normal in a crypto, but I do not believe Bitcoin is useless, he's still the king and will remain the number one.

Dapps arent part of bitcoin. So the confusion starts with altcoins being scams, different protocols and bitcoin being completely separate discussions.

It's the first decentralized store of value that anyone can own in the world.

If the internet had a currency, it would be bitcoin. As long as there are people on the internet, buyers can probably sell bitcoin in the future at equal or higher than they purchased/earned it for.

Due to the crypto currency confusion, fraudsters in the space and governments/bankers that don't want bitcoin to be the best and most secure store of value in the world, the protocol is attacked constantly while the "blocks" are solved to mine more coins. Bitcoin stores and transfers value securely between addresses, regardless of these attacks and has done so for a decade.

i don't know why you think people think like that! they really don't.

there are two groups of people in my opinion.
1. those who don't know about bitcoin or don't understand it.
these people don't have any opinion about bitcoins "worth". they either don't care or they are always surprised and find the price weird. they don't say things such as "bitcoin is worthless"!!!

2. those who know about bitcoin and understand the potential of it.
these people are the ones buying bitcoin. but some of them who want to buy it cheaper always spread FUD about how it is "worthless" because they want others to not-buy while they buy cheaper bitcoins.

I think they believed that bitcoin is useless because market is not in good state. Price is dropping but its not the end, let us spread over the internet that bitcoin will always be the king of all digital coins, it will never become useless or worthless.

All previously wrote so amicably that most people believe in Bitcoin and its technology. As we see, they followed Bitcoin while it gave a good profit and now they are running like rats from a sinking ship. Now the situation is very unpredictable. I do not think that such a fall was due with a hard fork  BCH. Most likely, there is a large game with a deliberate decrease in the market. Now it is very convenient to arrange a general panic in order to replenish stocks of cheap cryptocurrency well.

nobody really thinks that except those newbies who are bag holding ethereum and are brainwashed into thinking DApps are actually needed for a cryptocurrency! and have forgotten that a "currency" doesn't even need that. bitcoin is designed to be a decentralized currency and it is just that and is doing a perfect job with all the attacks so far.

Frankly, I never encounter a certain person that thinks that Bitcoin is worthless. It's either he/she doesn't agree with Bitcoin or he/she is afraid of it. I also don't agree with the word "most" in this context. Because what I see here is that people don't even understand what Bitcoin is and it doesn't necessarily mean that they think it's worthless.
But in the case of some people who think that Bitcoin is worthless, I think they just have been put their mind on the traditional monetary system. Thus giving the result of no interest to them to even just know a little bit more about Bitcoin.

Maybe bitcoin could back on higher price, last year we remember when China was banned bitcoin and make bitcoin price is drop, just take few week bitcoin price come back more higher price than before bitcoin banned by China.

One big reason people do not like it is because its not easy to use like money is. When you talk to people about Bitocoin or any other crytpocoins who are not into any form of crypto and ask why they dont try it,  one of the main reasons is,  its confusing for them. Anyway I understand your point, but this facts is these, you cant get everyone to be on your side at all the times, those that want to embrace bitcoin/Cryptocurrency in general will definitely do that at their own will, you don't need to talk much.
From 2014, to 2016 and early 2017 I spent must of my energy in promoting cryptocurrency in my locality, most of the people is preached to then, gave me a name, each time they sees me on they street, they will call me brother satoshi, and other crazy names.
Those same persons that where calling me names are now seeking for help on how to join the Crypto race! Some of them are already trading cryptocurrency, some are here!

If they are not ready, there's settingly nothing you will do that will convince them, just give them a break, they will act at their own will, do something that will trigger them.

I bought my First laptop with cryptocurrency, just because I wanted to prove to something persons that bitcoin is not worthless, and that really drove them crazy!

they are very primitive publics and far from revolution, especially technological innovation. so they are easily influenced by each FUD.

I think we should approach them, give them knowledge about bitcoin, so we can change their thinking patterns.
