It is very difficult to answer this question as every day the situation in the market changes and new top altcoins appear, so it’s impossible to single out any specific ones, so there are many factors that are evaluated by altcoins.

It is Undoubtedly ethereum. Its the mother of over 30 percent of cryptocurrency projects on coinmarketcap because they are all built on ERC20 platform and secondly, by market capitalization it only ranks lower than bitcoin

I currently see LTC as a younger brother of BTC than a possible competitor. This Altcoin King title is currently worthy for ETH. There are some projects that can take that throne! Grin There are great potential candidates to be honest! I won't name names for not shilling, but ETH's position is comfortable anyway and in the short term I do not see this coin losing its position.

now there's no doubt that Ethereum is still the best but it's only a matter of time until another coin can get through Ethereum because I'm sure the crypto development will get better and it will give birth to many good coins.

I am still optimistic that the king of altcoin is ETHEREUM. and that has been a long time until now. In terms of price or market capitalization, many crypto fans use ethereum. Then what will be the next generation after Bitcoin and ETH ?? Thanks!

Ethereum is the king of altcoins. Most if not all of projects boasting of more advanced features than ethereum have their roots in ethereum. For example, TRX, EOS, IOST and so on. They all started their journey on ETH platform.
