next trend in blockchain/crypto??

What do you guys think will be the next big thing in crypto? IMO it's going to be security tokens, microchains/sidechains (like MOAC), cross-chain compatibilities of public blockchains, and gaming/collectibles (like Gods Unchained)

Security tokens are being discuss early as now for the year of 2019 and I think it will be big as well.

Companies would adopt blockchain and they will integrate it as usual with crypto which will allow them to share their companies vision through blockchain technology. ICOs are no longer going on hype by next year though.

Very soon, we are going to be seeing more projects that are subject to regulations. Such as STO. Some projects that are STO based are now currently being lunched into the crypto space. I know of Desico and Sovren and there are still others and more to come.

I think adoption of blockchain technology will be the next advancement, projects that focuses on the blockchain development will get more attention
There will be a cleansed out of the pump and dumps tokens
and the get rich scheme mentality will be erased from investors mind, positive vibes all around cryto currency.

Cross chain still not yet released and i think that trend will be about any blockchain service that focused to build an economic related project.
Crypto kitties sucks basically it's still useless for me personally. We are looking for the utility token dude

it seems like safe tokens and ICO will become increasingly attractive in the following year, such as KYC developments in ICO projects that are actually too excessive

I think as time goes by, blockchain technology will be more attractive for wider adoption from time to time. And that cannot be denied at this time and in the future. Blockchain is indeed the real revolutionary.

any hyped up thing has a lifespan in this market which will run out soon enough. for ICOs it was mostly a year and then they died. for security tokens it will also be the same but the difference is that they made the mistake of starting the hype now that the altcoin market is in dumping mode so there is a good chance that it is not even going to pick up the hype and die in its infancy.

Blockchain/crypto itself is a trend, why bother to create some "trends"? As long as blockchain technology is still evolving, it will always be a trend.

Yes there are a lot of opportunities awaiting for zcash and Monero might trend in upcoming days. Monero has already been a hot topic regarding mining as it gives a good profit.

I agree. The stereotyping will be gone and so as the self interest. Everything will be in order and not in chaos. We can expect people started to adopt blockchain and so as using it day by day as a means in doing transactions in exchange of goods. People do not give attention to the cryptocurrency today, then tomorrow they will.

All the while, there are speculations. Now we are speculating trending tokens. 2019 is just around the corner though. For me, the talk in town is security tokens.

I am seeing 3 strong crypto trends next year.

1) First is stable coins. People need a way to mitigate the risks of high volatility in crypto markets. Up until now USDT did a great job but since it is evading external audits, people are moving to other stablecoins. Especially those audited by Govt. organizations. It's kinda a funny irony that when it comes to trust of funds, then people still trust Govt. organizations. Even crypto people!!!

2) Side chains and other methods to reduce load on main chains and increase scalability. This is especially true for ETH. Other chains like Steem are moving in the direction of pruning their blockchain data.

3) Crypto gaming. This is certainly going to be a big trend. Be it Steem, EOS, ETH, NEO, Tron or other smart contract based chains. All of them are indirectly or directly involving in this gaming sector. Tron even announced a $100M fund for this!! EOS based VCs invested $16M in a game to be launched on EOS. And on ETH we already know so many big games are launching next year like Gods Unchained, Hash Rush, War Riders etc.

That's just my personal opinions based on news articles from sites like Cointelegraph and Coindesk.

Now the biggest problem is network scalability. For example ETH is now faced with this problem. If they decide it, its price will rise again.

I think it will be the Security tokens industry and atomic swaps, but it's just my perception.

From the investment side there a lot of participants genuinely interested in the security tokens industry, from the development side there a lot of people working on atomic swaps.

Crypto which has POS terminal products and crypto ATM will become a trend in the future. I think products like this have great benefits and have the potential to be used directly by the community.

I think the next trend would be coin that could be able to scale in the span and with pace of the changing world. Coins that could easily verify transactions with in seconds and able to handle many transactions. I think decentralized exchanges would also be one thing to watch since there are many coins in the top 100 that has their own decentralized exchange platforms.

I think physical store with crypto payments will be a trend in the future. later on more organizations will embrace crypto payments it will make a chain reaction and a few organizations will likewise attempt the blockchain technology to have the capacity to compete with other existing organizations.
