Are there more profitable cryptocurrencies than Bitcoin?

Many of the cryptocurrencies and altcoins that are less in value are more profitable than bitcoin and Ethereum. I have trade some tokens before and I got profits that I could not get if I invested in bitcoin. Coins like iost, lisk and straits has given me profits than bitcoin in trading but if you are looking for stability then trade only bitcoin.

Mybe some coins might be more profitable  but they are also more risky and I prefer to have less money but will be sure that I will have them at all

Look with bitcoin's dominance today. It's 54% and getting with other coins might be risky but it will be profitable somehow when the market starts to reverse. I dont think so any cryptocurrency which was here in December 2017 is at his ATH at present as the market is just 104B$ now and back then it was touching 800B$. The primary problem with most cryptocurrencies is that they all solve problems that don't yet exist. Most good altcoins should outperform bitcoin once there is a strong bull run like late 2017 again. The problem is that the alts outperform bitcoin on the downside too so best to get out or take profits on alts  after a big bull run.
