I would not consider investing in ICOs till the next bullrun comes. Because even great projects are being dumped like crazy. People are scared. We need a good atmosphere for ICOs. However, if you really like the project, you can buy the tokens from the exchange it goes. (But I believe smart CEOs will hold their token and release them when bullrun comes)

I just think the big time for ICOs is over. I mean, most projects created utility tokens to not get problems with the SEC. But the problem with these are that they aren't secured by anything and offer no rights to the token holders. That's why we'll probably see more and more STO in the future.

The way I see it now, projects will follow the market, and seek capital in terms of dollars and no longer ETH. UNLESS ICOs are also willing to gamble, which I think some will, they may seek a low ETH cap which will still interest investors, and then hope for 2019 to bring about a recovery.
