Many plagiarizers will spin the text or Google-translate from other languages, and much of these posts aren't picked up by an automated checking script. You would need to manually review the posts, which is just unfeasible.

I would expect most legends on these mega threads and spamming sigs are not the original account holders.

All the more reason to ban them, but plagiarizers should be banned regardless of account age. We teach 5 year olds not to copy each other's work. Plagiarizing just once is enough for you to fail a class or be kicked out of university. This isn't some unknown, arbitrary, irrational rule we are talking about here. Not stealing other people's work is basic common sense in every form of schooling and employment.

Still any legend should be shown why they were banned.

I do agree that banned members should be told why they were banned, if they were banned for plagiarism, also told that their ban won't be reversed. It would cut down massively on the number of these threads that are opened every day.

I am not discrediting anyones effort. I already told you up thread that I do see you are helping and I do appreciate it.

I see no assumptions simply requesting someone listens to their questions of why? and what got them banned.

I simply state all legends and heros deserve to at least see why ie the actual offence which got them banned. I do not think that is trying to discredit anyones work at all. Actually really anyone should at least see why they are banned. This thread actually does not discredit this decision it actually seems to have confirmed the correct action was taken. It seems you just do not like to think that anything should even be questioned or analysed. You should not be offended by that it is simply human nature to want to know exactly why they were punished.

Trust me when I say I have battled long and hard against the real largest turds in the cesspool for many years. I do tend to focus more on scams than spammers and plagiarists although I accept there is an over lap and all should be targeted.
However to state "most" pre merit legends are spammers then yes you must prove it if you want anyone to take that statement seriously because it is an outrageous and ludicrous statement.

I am totally in support of cleaning up the board but not even 1 innocent or well meaning legend or hero or even anyone really should be deleted in the process or not at least give opportunity to know why he was banned and hear their side. I know everyone deserves fair trial but legends and heros have sometimes put so much effort in they should get priority. I see some disputing when they have only 100 posts, they are likely to spend that appealing so that could be pointless.

I never said that they don't deserve to know, you're just making shit up. Quite the contrary - I provide proof when I can, and merit others who do. Yikes only 20 or so legends pre merit that are not spammers.... that is worrying. Suchmoon will be annoyed to hear that unless he genuinely believes he is a top 20 net positive contributor here. Well that sounds fair enough - a person that has done so much for the forum deserves a bit of a wrist slap for that but why are people suggesting that is too soft? the guy is a real legend to many persons here on this forum and has saved people millions of dollars by crushing scams in the past....a bit of consecutive posting does not seem to be worthy of any thing stronger really to me.

I just told you why he SHOULD receive special treatment over people that have done nothing here.

The more you put in the more you get out. What about this concept is hard to understand.

Imagine the board like a bank. You pay in 50k per year and occasionally do things that get you fined 5k. So long as you do not do them too often then you are net positive still by far. Now someone else who pays nothing per year comes along and does something worthy of a 5k fine and they are fucked because they simply did not pay in.

What are you suggesting that one of the very best scam hunters here gets perm banned for multi postings? How will the next wave of noobs that had no Bruno to warn them off piles millions in to a scam come and thank you? Are you suggesting this because if he got temp banned for it what would be the next step if not perm banned?

Now for instance he did something worthy of a perm ban for which there can be no excuse like scamming people himself of course there is no amount of credit one can build to null this. That would be like a 50 trillion dollar fine so bye bye for anyone.

People I have never heard of moaning about real legends of this board that have done huge things need to start waking up to the fact you need these people because those wanting this calibre of person  perm banned for multi posting are going to do nothing to replace him.  Tons of noobs getting fleeced for millions of dollars does a lot more damage than multi posting. Of course he must stop if theymos tells him to it is his board his rules but of course anyone with a sense of the greater good will not want Bruno banned for anything other than serious serious wrong doing that reduces him to net negative.
