Bitcoin or gold?

I think to choose both is a good decision.  We can always spread out our investment.  We are not limited to only one or two investment in our entire life.  Gold and Bitcoin have advantage on their own.  Gold had been proven for centuries and one of the best tool as store of value.  The only downside of gold is that it is hard to carry around, and needed a safe place to store.  While Bitcoin is still at its early stage.  It has not yet been time tested, and since it is a trend atm, the hype is everywhere and thus can make us lose or gain profit depending in our decision.  Aside from that we can cary Bitcoin anywhere as long as we have the private key to the address that is holding our Bitcoins.  So Bitcoin future is quite uncertain unlike gold.  But as I said, I will gladly have both to take advantage of the profitability they offer.

Bitcoin, absolutely.

Gold is relatively stable and has had centuries (millennia?) to establish its relative value in the world.

Bitcoin is a disruptive technological protocol in its infancy.  It is still in the process of price discovery and as additional layers of interface are added on top of the protocol, the difference will be equivalent to the difference between the internet today and the internet in the 1980's.  It is impossible to predict what bitcoin will be like in 10 years, but I expect it will be exponentially more useful (and as such, exponentially more valuable) by then.

Yes i will also choose bitcoin rather than gold. But if we will compare the two, the bitcoin and the gold. The two is way different to each other because bitcoin is an intangible object that can use on transaction via internet while gold is a tangible object that has a price depending on the karat of it. But they also have a common denominator and it is the value. Both have value which can be used on trading an transaction. Bitcoin is more preferable on transaction because its value always increase and it has a fast and reliable transaction.

everyone has their own thinking and thought, but to me both bitcoin and banks have tier own benefits. as gold is gold for saving money. while bitcoin is really good for investing money and making more and more money.

Bitcoin hasn't been around long enough to have a value much higher than Gold. The price of Gold would go up super far if someone purchased most of the Gold supply within 24 hours. Bitcoin wasn't made to compete with that because its value is made up. Gold could survive without the need of the other currencies getting involved in it and I am pretty sure that Bitcoin can't do the same by itself.

If you want to store only your money then you can go for gold but sometimes the price drop and then it take years to recover back while if you want to get faster profit then invest in bitcoin only and do not go for any other asset for your trade. You can also trust on bitcoin for storing your wealth for longer.

I think there is a lot of potential for Bitcoin whereas gold is already established and it is less likely to have a huge increase in value. Basically Bitcoin is riskier, but has more potential for a big increase in value.

That is really true. Even its 7 year old background, we're still in the very early stages of bitcoin. It has a good potential. Then let's see what the future bring us.

I'd rather choose gold. Bitcoin is the first one but it doesnt mean that there is no altcoin that will top it over. What i am trying to say is gold will stay gold but bitcoin will have its own era and another cryptocurrency will replace it. Gold will last even in the end of times.

Both offcourse. Gold is my backup investment in case bitcoin goes up in flames.
Bitcoin is my risky investment, allong with the altcoins I have i see it go up big time or down big time. But yeah that's always with this kind of investments.

If you want to store only your money then you can go for gold but sometimes the price drop and then it take years to recover back while if you want to get faster profit then invest in bitcoin only and do not go for any other asset for your trade. You can also trust on bitcoin for storing your wealth for longer.

but i do not think that we can see such a big change in the price of gold. as the price of bitcoin remain too much stable and there is always expected a very little change in the price of gold so we can easily save our money in form of bitcoin.

I don't know whether gold prices can go that high or not but surely it is the best investment option for everyone invest some money in this asset class. Bitcoin prices move quite fast in both directions so I usually invest an only small portion of amount makes quick returns from bitcoins.

I agree with your opinion. Gold will still be the best for long term purposes rather than bitcoin because bitcoin can change its price anytime without giving any signals but in gold its price is so stable and you can earn money if you invested a lot of your wealth in gold and hold them for about 5 years or more. I just invested small amount of my money in gold because i'm still learning how can i make money in gold.

If you had to convert all your wealth to either Bitcoin or gold and keep it there for 10 years, which would you choose? Keep in mind the fact that Bitcoin has only been around for 5 years, and could be fundamentally different in any number of ways in 10 years.

I will go for the bitcoin because as you can see bitcoin is still growing it's just starting it's journey and bitcoin price is still growing from the starting price in the 1st year until now the 5th year. So for 10 years bitcoin will pump again so high so I think bitcoin is the best for long term investment.

It depends on what these 'long term purposes' that you're referring to are, since Gold can be used in various ways. If we're talking solely about returns, which in most cases is what most of the people here care about, then with Bitcoin's potential there is no doubt that it offers people a far better profit potential than Gold.

If you are long term minded (let's say 3-5 years), why would you care about fluctuations that happen within that time frame? The only thing that matters for long term holders is the end result.

Not entirely true. Just spend some time scrolling through various Gold charts, you'll notice that even Gold can bounce up and down (e.g. experience volatility) occasionally.

Also, not entirely true. It all depends on the moment you enter and leave the market. Gold isn't an asset that will grant you miraculous profits because you hold it for a certain number of years. It's a market (just like any other market) that is driven by supply and demand. There is no such a thing as making profits easily.

I just invested small amount of my money in gold because i'm still learning how can i make money in gold.

It's up to you of course, but if I were in your place, I would invest time and money into knowing how to profit from Bitcoin instead of Gold.

I choose both,because both of this a good investment and after a long time and maybe earn more profit. I do not think if  a bitcoin will become higher or small but i need to focus on both on this. But now i will go with bitcoin,and gold i will keep it and maybe i will wait until it become a great value someday.

Agreed that both are valuable and both have their own unique features so the best thing would be to invest in both of them instead of depending only on one as gold will give good profits in long run and bitcoin can take care of short term profits depending on its price volatility.

yeah bitcoin is really providing a big profit for us if we invest our money in bitcoin for 1 year and then hold our bitcoin and we know bitcoin price go to higher everyday and then we sell our bitcoin after 1 year then we can get a big profit from bitcoin.
