It's actually exciting to me. Before we used to see test matches playing 5 long days without any result. They were not hitting the balls but staying in the pitch like a dead man. It was boring to see. If you don't play then why are you in the pitch at the first place.

Now a days, we hardly see draw tests.

Hey test cricket is not forgetten by players what has happened is now players have a different approach towards it, earlier they used to settle for a draw now they want to go for outright win. If you’re not aware then let me inform you that ICC is bringing several new rules which will make test cricket very interesting. The most notable rule is the introduction of free hit on the no ball, that’ll force bowlers to not give away extra runs.

I was not aware of that.

By the way, I am more into seeing aggressive betting then standing on the pitch and do nothing. In test match a batsman can stay as long as he wants and score double or triple century. Nothing is stopping them to do that.

If it's for stepping the line then it should be welcome and implemented asap but if it's for above height-bouncer scenario then it should not be allowed. ICC can't afford to give all advantage to batters only. they already have tons of advantage on their sides in comparison of bowlers.

And ICC need more than that, to name a few

1. Increase salary for Test Cricketer
2. Day Night Test
3. Introducing Good competitive cricketing wickets

But the change in mindset doing more harm than good. again due to this test finishing in 3 days instead of 5 days. if you look at the bigger picture it's not a good deal.

I am not into gambling and always keep my distance from gambling. You should contact with @eaLiTy. this user recently posted about his-her betting win in Main thread. And try contacting with @Indymoney @Pffrt they might be interested in gambling. they all seem to incline in betting.

Money plays a big part in everything, in the end, and cricket is no exception.

Completely true. I do agree that aggressive batting is a lot more fun to watch when compared to slow batting, but there are still a good number of fans of the slow batting style like JSRAW and I can understand their opinion.

Honestly, I don't find time to watch ODIs or tests these days which is why the quick T20 matches are what I usually watch these days.

Likes of Hayden, Ricky pointing, Kevin Peterson. or Artist like Dravid, V.V.S. Laxman.

No one till now. Can you remember the 2011 world cup? He scored a boundary in all of the matches in the first ball of the innings (Missed 1 match maybe). By the way, sometimes I feel Ishan Kishan will be another version (quite lower) of Sehwag, hahaha.

Yeah, he didn't score anything in the Final, if I remember correctly.

Btw Sehwag was more dangerous in Test Cricket in comparison of  White ball cricket due to his "See the ball, Hit the ball" mindset.

Well people love to watch high scoring games as compare to the low scoring ones.  Previously 250 was considered as the good score in ODI but since the introduction of T20, we see many ODIs score reaching 300+.  The reason is that we have develop a habit of hitting throughout T20 matches and bowlers has very less chances to restrict the scores.

I have this same observation however I disagree with saying bowlers has less chances to restrict the scores. We still see outstanding performance from bowlers in low scoring matches. It's the physiology of the game plan which changed.

Before 250+ runs used to seen an non achievable by chasing but now even 400+ looks achievable and they run after it.

He was always aggresive in batting. His strike rates-
Test- 82
ODI- 104
T20- 145

Most of batsman will never have a SR of 82 in ODI even. I doubt there is anyone in test with such SR. Those days cricket was really enjoyable than now.

The reason for Test match to finish in just 3 days is that we lack the true batsmen and most of the players are just hitters. Remember the old days when most test matches were drawn as it was difficult to take 40 wickets in 5 days.

I don't mind high scoring match in ODI and 20-20, I enjoy it thoroughly, but if it happens frequently then it's not that much fun tbh and very harsh on bowlers due to various reasons.

1. Flat-dead wickets
2. Bowlers are not allowed to bowl more than one bouncer, free hit add excitement, but it neutralizes the bouncer's effect in cricket
3. Short boundaries. 60-65 meters are too short IMO.

I am not surprised to see  Pakistan in his list. It does not matter how bad or how good Pakistan plays they always stay in everyone's mind when it's big tournaments.

I do not think England will win the World cup even if they reach to final however I like his statement:

"India and England are looking strong, Australia have won five World Cups in the past and Pakistan claimed the Champions Trophy in the UK two years ago. Those four teams are probably the favourites."
