Hi everyone, i would like to ask you about way to invest in bitcoin. In your opinion, is it reasonable to think that cryptocurrency enviroment may behave like stocks enviroment and in this connection assume that in long term is it good idea to invest after big declines?

if you want to invest, you must have two important things, namely patience and accurate analysis. all investments are long-term and there are no investments that will profit in a short time.

There are contradictory analysts on this. Some argue that if the S&P500 collapses in a disaster and we enter a major recession, Bitcoin would hold up and it would fall it with it because the economy from those huge countries is too big and would suck everything with it. I claim that this is nonsense. When in doubt of the economy of a country, any country, you will want to be in a neutral asset, Bitcoin is the default-to-go neutral asset. It used to be gold, but not anymore, since gold is useless as you cannot carry it within an airport, specially on times of recession.

Because of the characteristics of Bitcoin, it should have at least half of gold's marketcap, which is why those guys worried that it's crashing and "it's over" and "we'll never go to ATH again" amuse me.

Not true - anyone going in deep in early 2016 would have gone 50x late 2017. If you think 50x in less than 2 years isn't short term profit I don't know what to tell you.
It's all timing.

2 years may not exactly be the long term investment but it surely isn't a short term either.

it's not just that a major recession might take everything down with it.

bitcoin really isn't the default hedge asset at all. it might have the potential to be, but it's literally not even a decade old. it's a brand new technology---still experimental and in beta. the world doesn't view it as a "safe" asset at all. it's rather viewed as extremely risky and speculative.

in another 50 years, i could see it being the go-to hedge. it's really hard to imagine now.

You must not use "invest" word. Use "gambling" instead. Few years from now bitcoin's prise will be around $100.

I also think like that. in my opinion that Bitcoin is a profitable type of investment. At this time bitcoin is so convincing to be a long-term investment.
With the growing number of Bitcoin users every year it will promise that the price of Bitcoin can increase dramatically in the future.

There is some truth to the words that investing in bitcoin is like gambling. Some may even say that, in 10 or 20 years, bitcoin will either be worth zero or millions of dollars. And I agree. No middle ground here. This may be the proper way to look at investing in bitcoin. I personally would like to think that investing in bitcoin is much more than gambling and that ultimately, it will become one of the most important asset classes in the world. So, yes, I think the  cryptocurrency environment could become similar to the stocks environment. But that's just my hunch, nothing else.

Now it's certainly a better time to invest in BTC than a few months ago or a year ago. We are in bear market and there is no doubt that anyone who wants to invest should know that this is an ideal opportunity to buy cheap coins. That does not mean that the price will not go down even more, and I see many search for reasons to buy now or to wait more. Perhaps it would not be bad to wait January or February next year, if a bigger drop occurs that might be right at that time.

I personally see the investment in BTC as a smart, but also a risky long-term investment. Because of the fact that BTC is only ten years old, it is hard to forecast for the long run. Although there are some patterns of behavior during the years, we can not fully rely on them.

Each individual must decide what's the best for him and his future, and to invest few percent of monthly salary in BTC can be a very profitable investment. Some people think long-term is just one year or maybe two, but for me it is 5-10 years at least.

Ten years in the future price of BTC should certainly be expressed in six digits numbers, although it's just speculative opinion - it can also be only three-digit number.

Good question. Bitcoin or crypto is still at its infancy so it's hard to correlate in with stock market as the latter has been in the scene far more than crypto. But if crypto might turn out to be like stocks with the price going up and down so for me its better to buy when their is blood in the street, just saying and HODL for long term.

I think if crypto is indeed worthy of long-term investment, by its nature it cannot be controlled so this will be a valuable investment in the long run, waiting patiently and continuing to learn to read all the crypto market situations.

There's only one reason why you wouldn't want to buy a dip (if possible) and that's that you don't think a recovery is going to occur. In stocks people generally assume it will based on past history. Bitcoin's history in that regard is shorter but the likelihood is that it will recover and go on to find new strengths. Warren Buffet's age old advice to be fearful when other's are greedy and greedy when other's are fearful transcends just the stock market.

I already stopped comparing or correlating stocks to crypto's or bitcoin, these are two different places for people who are looking to invest their money. But to think of investing after the big declines, this what people must do.

Buying during the dip has been recognized and popular strategy even in stocks. And as for bitcoin's past chart, you can see that after these corrections, there's an extreme increase in volume which means that people do really buy after the dip.

no it won't be like stocks market, maybe some of them like apple or something like that but not quite the same because bitcoin is very different in the sense that it is a new technology that is also global while all these stocks are limited and majority of them are for companies that can not grow that much either.
bitcoin on the other hand is being adopted by the whole world and so far it has not reached any big adoption percentages yet so there still is a very long way to go before it even matures and reaches medium adoption let alone the final mass adoption. and that makes most of its potential as a long term investment.

Bitcoin is the main coin in crypto, and as a major coin, bitcoin has the potential to survive and continue to increase. But what must be considered is that the value of bitcoin is unstable and risky, so you must have patience and strategies so you can benefit.

Those are believe the Bitcoin they never move to another investment. So long term investment is the good choice for Bitcoin because crypto economy is slowly occupy the many countries so it is right time to invest in future currency. Nowadays everything is depends on digital technology so  crypto also goobalised in future.

Well, In my personal opinion I think long term investment is always safe and secure the bubble might happen anytime but BTC has ability to reach $100k based on the speculation given by the experts also a lot of big whales believe in this and waiting patiently.

IMO, it does not behave entirely like the stock market but yes, if you entered the market after a huge crash, long-term you will be able to get some good gains as evidenced by the past 'cycles' of the market. I was one of the lucky lads who invested when bitcoin was on its $200 mark and sold when the price rose to $2900. It might not be an enough testimony to use as a basis but then again, the charts are always there to be viewed. Also, given that a lot of financial experts are already shouting for a long, overdue financial crisis, I think it's best to stock on bitcoin as early as one can, as it will surely be the asset wherein people would pour their money to once the inevitable happens.
