Internet is becoming very popular, and a huge percentage of the population now has access to smart phones.
Bitcoin without internet, may not do much in terms of bitcoin adoption, but it's a development. Amd would make Bitcoin more flexible and easily accessible.

There's plenty of areas without internet on Planet Earth.
And while it's easy for us to ignore them, these are the territories where people actually need bitcoin the most, in order to escape slavery.
So both the satellite and cointext are amazing innovations that bring justice to people who are often forgotten by westerners.
It may not do much for the price of an asset, but it should give us all some hope for humanity in general.

In my opinion it is not possible if bitcoin is used without an internet connection because the internet greatly affects the work system of bitcoin, if there is no internet, bitcoin is not possible to run. So in my opinion the internet is very much needed in the use of bitcoin.

I do have any thought that can we use bitcoin without any use of internet connection. It might possible somewhere in the future but still we need to use internet to access cryptocurrencies especially bitcoin. If the technologies become more advance there is tendency that we can use bitcoin without any need of internet.

Kinda like telemetry, I think, but this one processes more data and has more capacity compared to its predecessors. This is really an excellent news considering that there are still some parts of the world in which internet access is prohibited or not that reliable and stable. This could potentially change the game for the mining industry and travelers should they find themselves in a remote area that accepts bitcoins (this could happen) and without cash but only bitcoins on hand. As the article states, one only needs a USB device and a receiver to relay transactions and receive data from the satellite, and I just hope that it's not that expensive so as to really help change the shape of sending money wherever you are, literally.

I don't think it would be possible if using bitcoin without internet, what if they were very far away in a village that was not covered by satellites. Of course they will not be able to use without the internet, if that is true it will happen, of course everyone will feel happy without paying internet usage bills. But that is not possible, I think that's just your wish.

I'll check it out, but first of all, isn't there already a way to at least store btc without the Internet? I'm talking about paper wallets. You need a website first, but then you can just save a website file and open it on a computer that is not connected to the Internet. You get a randomly generated address offline and then you print it out. As for Blockstream Satellite, I find it suspicious that it's not some famous thing. They have less than 1k subscribers on their Youtube channel and no big videos about it. I think the idea is kind of cool, though, and blockchain is now indeed free from the Internet.

Lack of access to the internet has always been one of the arguments against Bitcoin's mass adoption. Good thing a team is trying to solve that now. This is an exciting development.

This is a really wonderful job indeed people who cannot be able to use the internet they can use bitcoin easily for this amazing technology. Especially it can be advantages for the people who belong from a rural area where internet is not accessible so it is really beneficial.

This is a new information for me and it's yet to see how would this function in real use and if some issues might come along with this.
Still it's a progress if everything goes fine and I think this will enable a bigger number of people to use Bitcoin. I don't know how this technology exactly works but obviously someone has researched all good and bad sides of it. But it's a good news for countries where Internet isn't so widely available or it's still expensive for the users.

Using bitcoin without internet would a lot of help specially for those who are in a remote area that dealing difficulties of having an internet connection. Yet having campaign such as social medias usually uses internet for posting. Having an internet would be a lot advantage.

There are some remote communities where the access to Internet is a huge problem. I've been to such places myself. I think it would be great if someday people can use bitcoins without the Global network.
