If this is possible then it will be one of the inventions of the decade. It means that bitcoin can be used everywhere in the world irrespective of internet and power supply. The adoption of bitcoin will increase because even the hinterland will now be aware of bitcoin and its usage. This will also increase the demand for bitcoin.

For now, it is truly not even possible to use Bitcoin or crypto currencies without the presence of internet connection, and we all know and aware about that. But to your idea having a satelite and be able to use Bitcoin fo different transactions without internet is indeed a great idea for our future most especially to remote areas not even capable to access the internet but wanted to uss Bitcoin.

This is really a big step towards the worldwide popularization of bitcoin. After all, in fact, the Internet or its absence was one of the main problems for using bitcoin. So now, it will be much easier.

Before the introduction of this new technology, bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have been known to operate under the use of an internet. Having this new innovation, would really help those under developed countries whom either have electricity or internet challenges. So, this new technology does serve as an alternative means.

Well, for my own opinion, the idea to have been use the Bitcoin crypto currency without the use of internet is a great idea for me. And regarding to the question whether it is a progress or not, my answer is yes. Why because it will widen the rane of people using bitcoin that will include in it the people than can't afford to have internet connections and to people that have low signal for internet.

In my opinion, this is extraordinary progress because with the presence of the Blockstream Satellite at least this can cut internet costs that must be spent by all bitcoin users. Besides that, I think there will be other benefits that are no less important, for example:
Bitcoin will be easier / more widely used/transacted like the fiat currency that we use in our daily lives.
The functions and benefits of bitcoin will be more effective, because everyone is guaranteed to be easier to control their money (in bitcoin format), with unlimited distance and time.

This is indeed extra ordinary progress, a great technological advice in to the blockchain  industry as it will minimize the cost of internet and also make bitcoin transaction simple to every crypto enthusiast but I wonder how this will operate since bitcoin work with the idea of blockchain technology which is fully on internet.

This is quite a serious and important moment for the full implementation of bitcoin as a currency. Without the Internet, it does not exist, so it is very important to find a workaround for this problem. I hope Blackstream Satellite will solve this.

Idea is good, especially now when we see there is blockchain based smartphone too. The reason it's good is that as you see, currently you need usb stick and receiver for that but possibly they will cooperate with upcoming blockchain based smartphone producer company and offer it with built in receiver. Then it will be really amazing.

I think it's pretty cool that there are other means of downloading the bitcoin blockchain. I do wonder though, does this force the users to trust Blockstream? Are there more satellites broadcasting this information? It sort of seems like you'd be trusting a single node without verifying the data with other nodes. If Blockstream decided to broadcast a different blockchain on their satellites then those people who depend on it would basically be cut off from the rest of the network.

This will definitely be a progress to the crypto space being able to use Bitcoin without the use of the internet, But i don't think that will be possible since all transactions are recorded and stored on the Bitcoin blocks.  I just hope this new advancement has a way to record the transactions on the Blocks.
