It's hard to say. Waves have a great team and a really cool concept, but I wouldn't bet on it surpassing a mammoth like ETH in terms of market cap and/or price in the nearest future.

Was expecting some statistics and hard evidence for a back up but it appears it was all a personal opinion and perception. I do not believe such would happen, not even anytime soon if at all. Altcoins in the the cryptocurrency market are not stagnant they are moving and striving to be on the top , each altcoins have been manage by each team, so there are many possibilites that goona happen in the market ,it is possible also that waves will replace ethereum in its place or positions ,so in the market there are great competitions, so yhe strong altcoin will survive.

Totally jokes, Just because it has been getting increase caused by vostock and then did you expect that will become one of the major crypto easily? That's a short term hype and remember what has created by waves platform. It's giving nothing. I never seen any useful product from waves platform.

it could be like that, because we know for ourselves now that we are at the end of the year and usually coin prices will change, that's where there are many opportunities for people who might want to go back to using eth as their coin grip again.

I think some altcoins have more chance than Waves for replacing Ethereum but waves cannot replace ethereum. In bull season, Many investors earn less money from Waves and  Waves stuck in same where. Finally, waves cant replace ethereum.

Are you kidding? Just a small movement in waves cannot change the entire market. Eth is very powerful and strong competitor in this crypto trading, so I guess it is impossible to beat ETH right now may be after years waves can dominate it's position but now it is impossible.

I would not rely on that. I think the crypto market is big enough that both projects can be successful. Therefore, i do not believe that waves will succeed in ousting ethereum.

unfortunately it is extremely hard to compete with centralization and we all know ETH is centralized. waves trying to compete with ethereum is like bitcoin competing with banks. it will grow and take over eventually but right now the centralization has the power. and ETH being a pump and dump altcoin with a ultra rich foundation because of banksters support can get pumped for some more time before it dies.

I do not understand why people make such hypotheses? A few months ago, I saw topics that said EOS would replace Ethereum. And then, just because the Wave is rising and people place Wave into the best candidate. Waves had a bad reputation as a scam platform. They are one of the largest pump and dump scheme. They have repeated that for a lot of times now. There are no real projects working with their platform. And even the newer platform coins than waves had have a better track record.

This is just another mere wishful thinking. Waves is a good platform no doubt, but comparing it to Ethereum is foolhardy in my opinion. They still have a long way to go, if somehow waves can make their platform popular it's a small step for the coin, ethereum smart contract is stronger, it's usually go to for developers planning to start their own coin, they need to heavily advertise their platform or somehow find a way to people to look at their coin.

we cannot immediately realize that if for example there is a coin whose price is soaring, then the coin will outperform the more senior coin. That is a big wrong perception. It could be that it is only temporary, because crypto relies more on hype and the hype has limits and saturation

But because their lack of visual, most people don't like using it and they can't become the next ethereum because of that.
