Waves is really potential but not the same like ethereum. Waves is not ERC-20 base that can accept the new coins payment. Ethereum is doing great and overcoming the market downfall. Actually, it was below 100 dollars few days ago but now good to know it is rising. By the way it the rank #2 in coinmarketcap again.

I think Waves can't replace Ethereum. The Waves platform is OK and they have a good development team. But Ethereum is more popular and it ensures faster transaction than Waves.

It's possible if Ripple has done replacing Ethereum in the number two spot, Waves can also do that, they have a stable community support, the developer team just need to create awareness for those who are not yet into Waves and change their DEX interface.

That's a moot question. I do not exclude such a possibility, everything is unpredictable. And this is the place to be. We can only observe the market situation and follow the news. And you need to check everything regularly, because the situation is changing very quickly.

no one can match every cryptoquruncy function, I think they are destined to be different and cannot be exactly like other coins. but for changes it might occur but depends on the request of the koinya and for now I think the waves are still too early to go beyond or replace ethereum.

a lot of good news coming in wavesplatform in the last few days, waves price growing hardly, even rise more than 100% my friend
is this a sign if waves will be the next ethereum ?
in my opinion it will not happen. because Ethereum is much better, Ethereum is the leader of Altcoin. so in my opinion, it's impossible for Waves to replace Ethereum. because many people who like Ethereum are good investments I totally agree with you. It seems to me that Waves are much weaker than Ethereum. Most investors trust Ether more. of course, because more people would trust Ethereum. they must be better looking safe, and don't want it until they suffer losses. because for me personally Ethereum is far more profitable

This will not happen, Ethereum is much bigger project than Waves. The only one project (altcoin) that can competite with Ethereum is Ripple with its XRapid solution. After Xrapid will support only with XRP tokens then Ripple token could grow because it will have real use.

I think that not easy because currently alot of project still used Ethereum blockchain to create token and to running ICO. Ethereum still become the most popular smart contract platform and they keep to development the project to be much better by try to solve scalability issue.

Waves began to really interest investors, especially after they began to provide information about their new smart contracts. This is already reflected in the price of Waves because I remember that there were new achievements for the price.

Hope of replacing one altcoin with another is not effective time spending, better is detailed comparison of same type altcoins.

Waves looking to be really strong in past around 1 month, really have a potential to become one of top 5 coins, but I do not think it will replace ETC as a second major cryptocurrency. It still has a very long way to go to this happen.

Waves, being in the top coins listed in the crypto market has great long term potential. But, as of the moment, I don't think that it has the capacity to overcome the ethereum platform. It might be gaining some momentum now but it is still many notches below eth in market capitalization. I also think the eth platform has more supporters than the waves platform.

Are you kidding? Waves replace ethereum? When there are other potential coins like EOS, Neo, Ripple that are close to ethereum but can't even replace ethereum. Waves cannot replace ETH, it has its own potentials too but not strong enough to replace ethereum, it looks impossible. Anything can happen in the future though but now it's impossible even with the news surrounding waves.

Waves actually created some kind of furor in the market when its price has risen several times in two days.

I don't see waves replacing ethereum. To me it seems impossible. There are news about the coin, yes but still it can't be strong enough to replace ethereum. There are other stronger coins that are even finding it hard to compete with ethereum.

If you truly want to make profit from any coin, waves inclusive, since you already know beforehand that an update will be coming and seeing that the price if waves has plunged, you should use the opportunity of that information to make some profits. You just have to buy some now and hold until the update is released, because by then some holders will be taking their profits.

Waves might be good project, but there are many other factors that affect the coin rank. I think Waves is far from this competition for now, coins like EOS and Tron are in better position to compete with Ethereum.

How can Waves replace Ethereum? In what sense? There is an overwhelming difference in their ecosystems.

Not. Many projects are being developed on the ethereum platform. But these two projects can be very strong in the future. The waves project has a very good decentralized exchange.
