it was only good growth because Waves coins were good to buy so they went up high but to replace Ethereum I thought it was still very far away.

Waves is surely a good project and has a great team but do not expect it to replace Ethereum. There are plenty of bigger candidates for that such as EOS or Cardano, just to name two. In any case, Ethereum is not going to fade any time soon despite all the competition.
