I don't think so. We all know that the ETH platform is much bigger and much stronger than the Waves platform.
In addition, the ETH platform has created many "Valuable" ERC20 Tokens and "Popular" DApps, DEX, etc. Whereas in the Waves platform? I rarely hear such as that from the Waves platform.

Where is Waves now? It's been years already and it is not even back to top 10 since 2017. I do not think Waves will have a big impact in the crypto market unless there is a major improvement in their dex and support from big companies.

There is no way wave can overtake ethereum at least not in the nearest future, almost everyone knows the eth developer because he often talks in the media and grant news interviews but not everybody knows the wave dev.
We should not under rate the power of the pen.

I think that until now waves have not been able to replace the position of ethereum, ethereum is more popular and many use the platform compared to waves, but waves also make changes to the better

yeah, that's right. even more so if we look at current developments. maybe waves have a chance, but I think that happens when ETH develops slowly. but, I think to date, the development of ETH is very good in terms of functions and prices.

the transaction speed of waves is indeed better than ethereum, but there are still many other things that make waves difficult to replace ethereum. maybe some time later there will be a surprise from waves.

Many people think that waves will replace Eth in CMC, but the reality is that it won't be possible because if we look at rankings in CMC, it's very far to change the position of Ethereum and for platforms that we all know. that Ethereum will continue to grow on the platform so users of Ethereum will continue to grow.

They are different platforms that are beneficial for different type of developers, soon ETH can be replaced if new platforms adds a much secured and better transaction service, for now both still doing their purpose right.
Until now, I think it's still safe for ethereum. but look, there are several platforms with their own chains like EOS, and now BNB. WAVES is one chain that might have the opportunity to grow rapidly, but unfortunately we can't see the development of waves well.

Maybe this is the same fight between XRP and ETH. XRP is capable of being two coin numbers after BTC. But that did not last long because ETH returned to number two. Because ETH has increased its selling value.

The waves I saw are still hard to grow. But this coin also has good potential. Until now Waves sold $2, of course, this is still an opportunity to continue to grow. But it is still very difficult to replace ETH.

Good point, it can be replaceable when new created projects has been developed to be much better than the one who's already been existed, there's a lots of ambitious developers who's always trying to compete with ETH and they are trying to fully upgrade what ETH team already offered, but till now most of those developers continue to work with ETH platform as it's already have a good reputations inside.

there are lots of better blockchain already out there
xrp might take second place again
but i believe Apollo (APL) is not just a potential but a much better blockchain than others.

yes thats right, a lot of blockchain withs mart contracts better than waves, such as EOS and NEO
but why you choose Apollo(APL) my friend ? can you give me a reasonable reason for this

I think its not the value on why xrp surpass eth because if we can see the price of xrp is only small  .  Xrp and eth are not really a good competitor because we can obviously tell that eth is the winner  . Eth has a lot of uses but xrp is too common  . Meanwhile , waves and eth are a more better competitor because both coins have the same feature both so far eth still takes the lead.  We wont know maybe waves can make a comeback in the future .

I believe the position of eth can still be guaranteed from now on, even in the future because the potential and development of eth is always at a good level, it can still come back in time after major market accidents, this is a point that investors always love. While waves are not always able to do that, accidents from the market always make the value of waves go down deeper, and we can see that over time, Waves seem to be no longer talked about in the market, catching up and replacing eth is probably the only thing that appears in dreams with Waves

a lot of good news coming in wavesplatform
in the last few days, waves price growing hardly, even rise more than 100% my friend

is this a sign if waves will be the next ethereum ?

Highly unlikely Wavesplatform will be a serious competitor to Ethereum.

It had many opportunities to make progress against Ethereum but Waves did not do much in the market and the only real competition taking place right now is between XRP and ETH.

Both investors as well as token issuing projects that use smart contracts prefer uisng Ethereum and avoid Waves. This has been a regular pattern for many years.

I do not see any feasibility in the statement, Ethereum will never be replaced by Waves, Ethereum has seen several improvements since its inception, unlike waves.

Waves has not been moving lately, and though it's also an old project, but the hype of this project in the forum is gone.
Based on my observation, people are loving the BNB coin now over other projects, and therefore I have to believe that BNB has a better chance to replace ETH.

Agreed, my point exactly.

Waves might make inroads in future but highly unlikely it will come even close to replacing Ethereum.

I don't think many people are still using the waves platform. So replacing eth is very far from happening. They have improvements yet they didn't manage to attract users. Very few waves assets are making in the market. I don't know where the problem is but waves honestly are very easy to deal with and have low tx fees.

Waves is quite a good platform which has got good potential for a bigger growth as more development is happening. Every altcoin tend to make a comparison with ethereum as it leads the cryptocurrency network among the entire list of altcoins. As of now next to bitcoin ethereum will stand high in the market for years, because it has reached a level beyond the rest of the altcoins similar to the way bitcoin stands away from rest of the altcoins.
