I think it will never happen but if it did, it will not be happening any time soon.

Both ETH and Waves have not perform this year so far, if they are just moving the same way, there's no way that waves will be able to surpass the success of ETH , I believe it is gonna be the other type of coins that will do that, the closest coin I think that could surpass the success of ETH is BNB.
BNB already surpass Waves success, this year alone BNB showed it's strength, making a new ATH despite the market is not fully bullish.

Several times I have participated in a project that uses payment for waves, but I do not see any very significant changes with waves and are not very sure that I can replace ethereum. I feel it's still difficult to exchange in waves and not familiar.

Agreed. Waves is simple not big enough or widely implemented and used as much as ETH.

Though without any doubt Waves will continue to have its own ecosystem and own users, it cannot replace or take on Ethereum.

they are the same in the concept of a smart contract platform to help other projects make tokens with their blockchain. but the development of waves is not very good, while ETH is used a lot by new projects and in collaboration with the ethereum blockchain. but unfortunately now ethereum is too much shitcoin, developers must pay attention to this.

The basic problem is their market and the way the expanded ETH is the second highest cryptocurrency in terms of volume so basically more updates supports and usage than others There are more developers on Eth than waves I mean is going to take them time to reach Ethereum heights

I don't think so, waves with that token's stolen ecosystem can't do anything. They should do something more efficient in order to surpass Ethereum. It's not easy to stick into the 2nd place in marketcap and it won't be that easy step for waves as long as they don't develop something worth the care. Ethereum has alot of issues now but if they fix everything, there's no way for waves to do anything.

Obviously after 9months nothings happen even close because ethereum price goes more lower from December 2018 until June 2019 .

Waves on the other hand has a growth in December 2018 but drops as well like ethereum in the following months and isn’t obvious that wavesplatform will talk about their growth to lure investors but of course this is misleading because nothing happens in the same as news

It is not just about the price, the technology is different. I envisage no reason how Waves could replace Ethereum.

I think when we say of replacing, this refers to the ranking in the https://coinmarketcap.com/.
Currently, ETH is rank at number 2, while waves is ranked at number 51, while it's price is back to 1 usd only.

There's a big disparity in ranking, and at the status now, it's hard to call waves to have a chance to replace ETH in the future, unless ETH will fall very hard, but I'm sure there are still a lot of good altcoins waiting which is way better than waves.

it's not about who was first in the market, it could be the new one that will replace, like BNB, EOS, and Cardano for instance, we never know.

actually the waves platform is good, but I don't think the waves platform can compete with ethereum on performance and popularity. if the wave development can be good, I think it can be for the waves coin to replace ethereum.

I can't see Waves replacing Eth. We all know that Eth has been struggling for price for the last year and a half, but during that times Waves has sunk without trace (sorry). At the moment, Waves is a long way behind and shows no real sign of reversing the trend.
