I was an avid supporter of the waves platform and participated in most of their promotions as well as invested in Waves from the early days. My personal opinion is that Waves does not promote their products enough. They work hard and their developments are really good but they dont advertise in a large scale and the market fluctuation just kills their plans. New projects need to believe that the Waves is the platform to be and Waves team should bring the new teams into their ecosystem. Until that happens, Waves will be just going with the flow rather than Growing.

I completely agree with your opinion and that of your interlocutor, and therefore, considering all of the above, Waves cannot compete with Ethereum at all today. At this time, on the way to the level of Ethereum, there are already quite a few platforms that are starting to get serious for Ethereum, such as the throne, and BSC also poses a serious threat to etc20. if the developers of the wave remain inactive, then their platform will leave the market altogether.

I believed Waves could be superior competitor to Ethereum. I remember buying huge amount of Waves years ago. When I turn and look back to it just lagged behind. Don't get me wrong, nft business is right idea to influence but Waves need more capital investment towards projects on its chain. See bnb and binance smart chain. You are right; waves is honestly lagging investors to support it and whereas I am really surprised how ethereum managed to have such whale investors to keep in pumping all the times regardless of it is having huge supply and huge pre-mine as well. If waves work with any institutional funds then it get into moon for sure as waves all the potential to keep attracting investors but it just need initial kick off.

Waves interestingly got indirect way of POS (I am sorry I do not recall the exact term used on waves ecosystem) still people not finding it profitable on long term holding.

Waves is dying, you have to admit it, even its price surpass its ATH, it does not guarantee that waves will soon appear in the top 20 once again. With the appearance of binance smart chain and a variety of DeFi/Nft projects, there is no place for waves to grow anymore. I do not believe that there will be a significant project building on wave layer. Other blockchain are proven to be better than waves

Eth berlin update didnt really give out any significant impact on ETH which is totally a shit thing since the fees were to high. They should be fast on making out
viable solution or else people will surely jump in into another coin which is better in terms of fast transaction with less fees on where eth had been known to be
like that on early years but it turns out that  the problem becomes more a big deal and i wont be surprised if there would be some sudden switch up

Although the Berlin hard fork was said to reduces gas cost for a specific transaction type but when a project went through technology hardcore it take sometime before every activity will function normal cause its like a human that went through a surgery.
If the ETH2.0 is totally executed  everything will good.

Yes, I agree with you, now they have a competition where everyone can participate and win a Lamba, but why are they playing such an expensive prize, if you can invest in project advertising, hire famous bloggers, find ambassadors.

Good news has to be specified, basing on the price alone is a bad idea, we need to know what's the development and if that development is good enough to challenge the successful coins in the market, like ETH for instance. Waves has not proven anything yet, it's only bullish when the entire market is bullish, and that separate waves from ETH and BNB.

things that are actually quite strange when this is questioned, as you say how it is possible that a coin with a low price wants to replace a coin with an established price. the problem is not only worth comparing something, of course, because the wave is old but not developing at all, different from the same old ethereum but has become a reference for some new projects that will grow.

The market cannot be changed by a single small wave action. In this crypto trading, Eth is a very successful and formidable rival, so I believe it is difficult to defeat it right now. I guess by now, the OP who created this thread after more than 2 years, will understand that waves will never replace ethereum. Eth developments is much way better than waves. Just consider the successful projects built under ETH vs Waves. I can't even name one popular project under waves. And this topic, I believe, is already not applicable in today's market. Maybe BSC network has better chance to compete with ETH.
