It's also a complete u-turn from that child Boxxa's statements in IRC the other night.

I imagine things are getting tense.

Well right now the coin has absolutely no direction without the Lakotas in the picture, which they're clearly not.

Getting a bit annoyed at a few thousand coins at rocketpool that have been sitting unconfirmed for a couple of hours at least.  Anyone else with delays?

Yeah, since Barack Obama isn't into bitcoin, it has absolutely no direction without the Americans in the picture, which they're clearly not.

Put this bitch to bed, and move on with your lives.

Plenty more crypto opportunities down the road, cryptos are still in their infancy.

Worst behind Maza.
Still can be traded.
Still can bring interesting ideas.
Not Lakotas - maybe another tribe.
Problem with diff and reward also could be fixed.

So Maza is not dead. May suprise us in future.

you dont need an official to accept

the real tribal leaders could accept it down the road if the value returns...
the ppl could just go ahead and accept it and use it if its worth their time and has value...

so now boxxa is taking our advice so the technicals could be fixed....

worst case scenario some other devs could take the reigns and go with it...

that has happened to alot of the other coins...

For example: I know I am making an assumption here, but when the Wall Street Journal made that article about MazaCoin, I bet they did background checks on Payu Harris. Don't you think the media would have already reported it? And by media I do not mean Facebook. I just think Payu is really bad at managing this project; but what do I know? He very well could end up being a con artist.

It was a WSJ blog, not a news article, and it is obvious they didn't do any sort of fact checking, otherwise they wouldn't have said, and then had to retract, that the coin was officially adopted by the tribe.
As for background checking Payu Harris, they didn't even get his tribal background right, referring to him as a Lakota Indian.

Ok, just read another version of the story here:

http://rapidcityjournal.com/news/local/ost-s-brewer-co-chairs-indian-health-service-budget-committee/article_056f12db-30bb-54fd-a679-40e828e7b22b.html

Notice the date?

Why would Harris be quoting a nine day old story as the catalyst for his disaster?

Also, at the end of the day, get real. The tribe does not give the tiniest shit about Maza and never has - to try to suggest that Maza is the reason behind political shenanigans is just wild conspiracy theory, absolute bollocks.

Still switching my BTC rig to MZC periodically and mining.  Also converting NMC and LTC into MZC.

I bought some at 1400, some at 700, some at 590... my investment isn't huge, but it's steadily getting bigger.

I see enough upside potential that I don't plan any changes soon.

This tweet is part of Harris's exit strategy.

The coin has collapsed and people are close to the truth about his shady past - he know's the game is up and this "suicide" (for that is what it is) is his way out.

Kill the coin, kill the responsibility.

Won't be long before he's never seen again.

I also feel sorry for those who took a hit, but man, lots of people tried to warn you.

I am no longer invested in this coin, but where is solid evidence that Payu has a shady past? I haven't seen anything (other than what appear to be fake Facebook pages claiming a fund of his is fraud) indicating that he has a shady past. For example: I know I am making an assumption here, but when the Wall Street Journal made that article about MazaCoin, I bet they did background checks on Payu Harris. This is such a strange coin. I got out yesterday, well, actually sold some of my coins the day before, and finished selling the rest yesterday ... probably at like an 85% loss. I didn't buy that many to begin with, around 1000, so no biggie ... but it's one of the rare times that I bought a coin that completely tanked so quickly.

Anyway, after Payu more or less insulted the tribe's leaders with that bribe comment, who is the coin going to be for now? I see little hope of any official statement from a tribal leader.

It crossed my mind that perhaps this was all planned by the devs. Have the price sink, gobble up tons of coins cheaply, then announce something official and watch the price skyrocket. But at this point, I think the falling price was just due to incompetence.

I may buy in again if it keeps sinking (if we can figure out the floor) and if Payu has an actual plan that could possibly work, even if it's a simpler revised plan.

I'm not concerned about any articles at this point. I have a lot of doubts now cause of the way Payu openly accused the tribal leaders of taking bribes and indirectly admitted that Mazacoin doesn't have their support now because of such bribes. True or not, you cannot expect any tribe to take the coin seriously when another tribe's leader decides against the coin and gets called out for taking bribes. It's just bad business for him to go that route. I also take issue with the fact that he didn't make some sort of formal announcement that the tribal leaders/council will not be endorsing the coin anymore. Instead, he just randomly posts on twitter about them abandoning Maza due to bribes and citing an article a couple days ago. So he knew about this for some time but only now cares to tell everyone?
