ETH to 800$ in JAN 2019? (after fork speculations)

Ether may not sell for $800 in January but surely,  ether will rise in the days ahead before the ethereum fork!  Ether has made some surprise movement in price.  The recovery to almost $160 was instant and I think this is the perfect time to buy more ether!

Be honest, I've no idea that ETH performs that's way or not. Though I've strong reason on ETH that It could surpass this $800 landmark anyway cause after each powerful fall there was even more incredible growth.

400 $ is a price that I feel can be achieved if this hardfork is indeed happening and is supported by various large exchangers such as binance etc.

now ETH have good movements, 100% grows in 5 day.
and price is 160$. and ETH have fork on 7 080 000 block. what you think about prices after fork. becouse after fork, new ethereums will only 2 in 1 block. and i think in future will hard to earn eth.

ETH price is likely going to see an increase but going up towards $800 will require the market to change dramatically. It's not a low cap coin that can pump on major news by 500%. That's too much money to flow in to the market so it can't happen.

Yea, I also think the same way. ETH is too big to rise that much in such a short time. Look at Waves for example. It had quite some hype in the last weeks and did a x4-5, but it might have seen its max already. However, it is quite a bit smaller than ETH, so we ll need lots of money to pump ETH that much

In a bullish market we might have seen it happen, ETH quickly rose from sub $100 to over $1000 without any major upgrades. But in this market it's hard for any coin to experience real growth. Even coins with major announcements seem to experience growth only to have it wiped out in the next sell off.

I was very surprised if in such a close time the market could grow quickly. but I also expected that to happen. whether it's next month or throughout the next year, I will wait for the market to grow very well again.

I think that many will want to get a fork of Ethereum and due to this the price will grow. If it is more difficult to mine Ethereum, it will cause a stir around the coin. It is also likely that people will simply not sell Ethereum, which will increase the cost.

Probably what will happen in the end. This time it will drop to less than $50. When they fork BCH, all coins drop too which is likely to happen as well with this ETH fork.

There are lots of small investors that are now hesitate to invest with this kind of market also the reason of bitcoin and crypto is a scam, I got a friend  that has been a victim of cryptocurrency so if that is also the perception of others to crypto it will really affect the market.

Everything in cryptomarket is quiet exaggerated, well its just a prediction because many believes that after the fork of eth and the etf for bitcoin the price will rise high again. For me, I will just wait for that moment and see if my strategies will work because I don’t invest base on any prediction, I look for every details of every coin before I invest.

Corrections followed after that great bounce back, now it's been ups and down again we don't know how long it will take but like many other said this fork can bring something good in terms of hyping the current price so buying while its still cheap can be profitable after some weeks, if you already have some coins keep it hold and buy more if you still can.

Hopefully it will be as it was, the market will be back soon crypto, perhaps it is the hope of all people. But if early next year to achieve the price is as high as it is it possible it could happen? a short time to see such a high rise.

$ 800 is an amazing growth that would please every investor. It is very difficult to predict what the demand will be for the Ethereum fork. I think that you need to shop and be patient.

I don't think that there is any chance that Ethereum will go up to $800 dollars in January. I think it would increase but it wouldn't go high as that. Because it took a really long time before Ethereum reached the $1000 dollar point in 2017.

Looks far fetch to see ETH back to more than $500 again in weeks. I do have some ETH that I keep but I don't expect it to be huge in a year again. I'm willing to wait for years, I may sell or keep it forever til I badly need the money. Speculations are weirder these days, this I guess is because holders put their hopes a lot on ETH. There has to be more than the coins on top of the CMC such as EOS and XRP.

I believe ethereum will increase even altcoin too, but to be able to reach its peak price again or $ 800 or maybe more in the near future seems difficult, but the crypto market is difficult to predict what will happen even though the possibility is small.

It will increase but it will not so much as the title of this thread. the block reward will be getting more than 30% to reduce and that makes sense to see at least more than 30% growth in the price of ethereum caused by the reward.
