I think the middle of next year is a short time, hopefully it can be achieved. but if it's faster than that, I think ethereum must have a big event that supports it developing very fast.

This prediction for the next hard fork should be carefully managed with respect to price to avoid unnecessary accumulation that might not fetch that size of dollar addition that is been predicted. The news of the hardfork should have been generating a pump by now for a price in the height of $800, so I doubt such a pump with the hardfork news.

it is just a rumor and there is not too much authentic information about it. ETH's price is now quite low but it is impossible for it to grow strongly in the near future. BCH shared its value for BSV and no development is too big here. I think ETH is the same.

BCH tanked because of 51% attack fears. When BCH won the hash war, ABC released a roadmap with tons of actual development going on - and the price jumped 200% and more in 2 days.
Ether is not as oversold. And even though they're developing exciting stuff, we'll be seeing very little of it with this hard fork.
$200 is achievable, but optimistic. I think we can see a jump into the 300-400 range when PoS and 2nd layers are announced.

speculations are just speculations. Keep that in mind. The market itself is way unpredictable. No matter how huge the crypto is,  the market value is still complicated to predict. Therefore, thinking of such thing that the market value of ethereum will immediately increase, is still blurry. So just be patient and just observe how the market will move next year.

Maybe yes maybe not difficult to expect for the price increase quick but it's possible because of volatility movements, and i agree with you there have a good sign moving of ethereum in the coinmarketcap.

ETH is not going to increase that much in price in Jan due to this fork. It may go to $200 or $300 at best so do not buy expecting huge gains quick.
