What's everybody betting on for the Heat vs Celtics game?  I used my free bet from Sportsbet to go with the Celtics just because I think it's close to impossible for having two teams getting swept back to back.    I don't really watch basketball so dunno...  Just hoping to get lucky and use the proceeds to bet somewhere else.

Anyway, what do you guys think of the bet?  Judging from the odds, seems like the books think it's either team's game..?

The Boston Celtics moneyline right now is quite tempting because for the first time in this series versus the Miami Heat, they are getting listed as the underdogs @ 2.06 .. And they still have a chance to bounce back and win at least one game before the series ends but I deeply think that eliminating the Heat in the process and face the Nuggets in the next stage is quite too much for them.

For me, I'll take Miami Heat -2.5 @ 2.08 because I don't think they will agree to travel back in the Celtic's homecourt and play on the road if they can win the game later.

I think that’s probably the smart bet to make. There’s a good chance that Boston is mentally defeated already, especially after seeing the Lakers get swept last night. In elimination games the team being eliminated usually gives up and there’s a giant lead by the end. That’s what I’d expect to happen tonight. If Miami wins, I’m guessing they win big.

My bet wasn't that lucky because the Boston Celtics forced their way and won the Game 4, I honestly did not expect that something like that would happen as I'm already thinking that they might have gave up already after what happened in Game 3 but it seems that it wasn't the case here anymore because the Celtics brought the game again towards their home.

Me too. But we guessed it wrong. They still have the will to win and Jayson Tatum showed it pretty well today by leading his team with 33 points and not being present in the 4th quarter, unlike their previous games.
Their 3-point field goals also went up, so I guess they adjusted by attacking the paint first to open some space and then kicking the ball out for an outside shot. It worked and I think they will try to repeat the same play in Game 5.

Yeah, that can be a big factor as they are playing aggressive for the past 3 games and really pushing things to the limit.

They might need a little rest then start that aggressiveness again in game 5, though it's on the Garden, but they already won 2 games
on the road and they are really dangerous when they all are in their cheat mode.

There are 2 ways you could rest, one is to win and have a break which is the smart one and would get you to the solution a lot quicker and should be done quickly. However, there is another one, where your players do play, and since you are 3-0 up, that means the other team can't win 4 in a row, never been done before in history, so they will play, and surely they will get tired, but you could give them lesser minutes to rest them, like Butler do not need to play this much on the fifth game, let him rest a bit.

That way not only they do not rest, but they keep in shape, whereas Nuggets are relaxing all day everyday. Good thing for Nuggets if they can pick up pace right away, terrible if they are no longer in shape and play the first game very badly.

I think that is the best thing they  can do, denied a swept, and it also denied history as well. This could be the first time that we might see either finals conference sweep. Lakers swept by the Nuggets, and the Heat has a chance, but the Celtics hasn't lost 4 straight in 2 years and they did exactly that and prevent that history putting their team on that.

Anyway, no team has ever comeback from 0-3 in the playoff. So the Heat has a lot of chance to close out the Celtics. Maybe in the next game we might see it. They are now 3.45 underdogs and that kind of odds we want to see for the Heat. Maybe they didn't trash talk Butler this time and not 'poke the bear'.

I'm all in on Denver for a 4 game sweep.  I just said in another thread I will be betting Celtics in game 4 because It's hard to sweep.  But in this one they just can't stop jokic and none of the backcourt can hang with Murray.  I'm taking the odds and taking the money line on Denver.

Easy money betting Denver this series.  I can't see either miami or Celtics giving them a real run.  Who is going to stop jokic out of those 2 teams.  The only team that matched up ok against Denver was probably the sixers.  With theor foul merchants they could have used that to get to Denver bench.  No matter the opponent I can't see more than a 5 game series.  Betting Denver every game in the finals.

Good point, tired or they are too relaxed because they are on a safe lead while the Celtics still have the fighting spirit to continue and try to make a spark by winning one game.
But let's face it, once the Miami Heat goes back to the type of game they played in their 3 previous game, it will be difficult for the Celtics to win one more.
Right now, I bet Butler is pushing his team to end this series so they can also take plenty of rest just like the Denver Nuggets is experiencing now.

I think it's safe to take that +10.5 for the Miami Heat because whenever they play well it's either they win or it ends up as a close game. The minus for the Celtics is kind of risky for me than taking the plus for the Heat because I doubt the Heat will let it be another blowout. Or for the risk-takers, an ML for Heat will be pretty darn satisfying. Yummy.

I think Bston gave it their all last game to avoid a sweep and now it’s time for them to go fishing and leave the Finals for a matchup between the Heat and the Nuggets. I'm also taking the handicap for Miami Heat -7.5 @ 2.03 and for the moneyline @ 3.44 as well because why not, as you said, they will not just watch the Celtics control the game and there's a good chance too that they will force a win so that they can finish the series because the Nuggets already have a plenty time of rest. Making the series much longer will put them in a disadvantageous side.

Congrats to those who ride on the Celtics, Jayson Tatum prevented a end of season for them as he lead all scorers with 33 points. So another sigh of relived fort them, just one game at a time. Lost my bet on the Heat as I thought that they are going to sweep the series.

The good thing is that they are going back to Boston Garden. The bad thing is that numbers is against them. No team in the history of NBA has comeback from down 0-3 in a playoff series.

It is not really predicted the way this series goes, many have thought that the Celtics could not devise a tactical attack against the Miami Heat's defense but they have done it they got a plan for easy buckets and not driving through the paint, I think the Miami Heat will need an answer for this because if they can not stop the Celtics the Boston Celtics could get back all that lost they have,

The downside is that there is no guarantee they will win Game 6, as they don't have a good home record in the playoffs. Therefore, the Heat would still be a threat. In fact, home court is no longer an advantage in this series, as both teams have won on their opponent's home court.

Jason Tatum needs to bring that energy in Game 5, or else it will be time to go fishing.

1 more win for the Miami Heat and they could surely advance to the finals, right now this game needs to have an end because the Denver Nuggets will have pretty much an amount of rest when the finals start, then likely this could end badly for whoever won in the Eastern Conference Finals and the Denver Nuggets is surely a threat for both these teams for me they are the stronger team here in the NBA, for sure if they would give them enough time to rest they will surely bite in the finals 100%

The stake odds for this game are 1.31 for the Celtics and 3.60 for the Heat, right now Danilo Gallinari has a Knee injury and can not play until May 27, and Malcolm Brogdon has a Forearm and is questionable for this game, while Tyler Herro and Gabe Vincent is out and can not play for the Miami Heat, because the Miami Heat defense was exposed by the Boston Celtics it is not really looking good for the Miami Heat right now, they could potentially turn the tables with this one game but Miami Heat just need 1 more game and I think they can surely win this and eventually can pass the defense of the Celtics, so my pick is the Miami Heat and pretty much a tempting odds for sure,
