Wouldn't you ask yourself for merits ? New Merit Contest! $175 in prizes!
To help promote high quality posts I'd like to introduce the new Merit Mini Contest! The top 3 people who earn the most merit this week will win 1 of 3 prizes
1st - $100 2nd - $50 3rd - $25
Merits earned in the section "Gambling" are worth 2x the points! Absolutely no asking for merits. Just because your post has merits doesn't mean it qualifies for this bonus, the post quality must also be approved by us.
Edit : correction of the quote.

Your quote don't refer to the post of the Merit Contest only to the post in this thread. Where is it from? New Merit Contest! $175 in prizes!

On top of that, LoyceV will delete posts anyways linking to own unmerited posts. I think it's not a Merit giveaway here, only if someone came over a post and is out of sMerit.

Your quote don't refer to the post of the Merit Contest only to the post in this thread. Where is it from? It can be found in this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5110093.0Essentially, the Stake.com signature campaign is running this contest, and markstivn98 has therefore linked his own post in here to try to gain merits to win the contest. Whether that breaks the rule of "Absolutely no asking for merits" as stated in the contest announcement is obviously up to the Stake.com team.

Thanks, I didn't know that it's from Stake Signature Campaign. When I read it I thought it was from a new thread. Like this it makes sense to leave the decision to Stake to accept the earned Merit this way if they know about it anyway.

Hahahahahaha Sounds like it fits th definition of "asking" to me, but you are correct o_e_l_e_o... that is for the contest administrators to determine. Reminds me of Bill Clinton's famous responses under testimony: "Depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is."

1) Self-Custody is a right. There is no such thing as "non-custodial" or "un-hosted." 2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized. 3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

Technical Analysis - logical explanation - PollDescription : Technical Analysis on Price Movements Category : Analysis Section : Trading Discussion
Probably this guy has a really good posting quality and is just short of 3 2 merits to become a Full Member. His recent well written topics are being merited a lot, hence I skimmed through some older topics created by him and got one such topic which didn't receive any merits. Though this topic is pretty old (>7 months), he didn't receive any merits for these. Hence pointing this to Merit Sources so that he would rank up. Edit : Still 2 more merits for this guy to rank up.

Sent 1 merit from my side although I am not merit source and I don't have much now . Hope someone will help him/her with 2 merit. I feel very happy when I can help low rank members. Wouldn't you ask yourself for merits ?
I don't think it's wrong posting own thread here. No one bagging here, anyone can post here for review. Source will decide post is merit worthy or not. Although submit own thread is not wise but we should not discourage them. On the other hand thread is self moderate, once OP consider spam post then he is free to delete that.

I recently deleted one very bad link. I've been very calm with the delete button in this topic, so far the entries are quite decent. I check all entries, but don't merit them all. Sometimes because I've seen the post already and didn't merit it then, and sometimes because it goes over my head and I didn't have the time to read enough pages from those topics.

Very often when i get merit i check posts of guy who merited me. That's how i get here. Thank you very much for helping me disinterestedly. Also, special thanks to Coolcryptovator, LoyceV and JayJuanGee, who merited my 7 mo post and help me become full member. That's a big step for me. OP: Its a great topic. I'll add it to my watchlist.

I don't know what is your policy for meriting on the Local broad sections but I have to bring attention to this post > Those guys created an Epochtalk forum so we can test the software. How cool is that? I think they deserve some merit.

TryNinja mentioned that the user madnessteat made hats in the Russian subforum for several users. The thread doesn't mention that the hats are being sold so I assume he makes them for free. I think that thread deserves some merits.
