Although your post is old. When you asked this the BTC was around $3500 price. I don't know what you had done with your Bitcoin. If you could hold you can see the good result now. However, we can see many retailers are accepting Bitcoin payment. So, if you use you bitcoin buying something just google where is accepted near your place, that's it.

Yes, for business to really grow the state has to help and make sure that the business has focus on the operations instead of wasting time with bureacracy and rules and keeping to the regulations, but on the other hand, all the Bitcoin early adopters who made their names were fine to use Bitcoin with or without the government supporting, and look at where they are now. The government is involved because of the policy of using currencies in payments. some countries prohibit the use of bitcoin to buy and sell. This forum is not the right object of comparison.

Doesn't make too much sense to spend it right now does it, especially when most people are expecting new all time highs by the end of this year.  I always try to immediately replace any bitcoin that I do happen to spend though.

I heard about the Starbucks offering bitcoin payment on an online article. Apparently, that's possible in some places. Plus, if you have bitcoin or eth, you can use it to buy alt which can then be used to buy products. I found a couple of projects in Korea that allow you to pay your electricity bill, healthcare services and also use crypto to invest in CDM projects or other eco-friendly businesses. I am sure they are also available in other countries. The catch is, of course, bitcoin is on the rise now and it's sorta risky to change it to other alts in case it rises further.... (at least, for me now.)

If you know how to trade crypto, then now is the best time to use your skills and earn extra money while you also hold and wait for when the price will go up. Instead of spending those coins you're holding, it's best to hold them and use them for things that are going to earn you some extra coins which means extra bucks as well. If you begin to use it for buying stuffs online you might end up using most of them and before you know what's up, there will be a quick up trend and you will miss out on what you should have earned if you continued to hold. It's up to you on what you want to do with your money.

it depends on the country that you are living on, because in my country there is no merchant or service who allowed to crypto user paying with bitcoin or cryptocurrencies as a whole for each transactions. Because my government still banned it as payment instrument, I'm happy if your country allowing crypto user to pay with bitcoin with every transactions that you made. At least you can tell to us how easy it is when you use cryptocurrencies as payment system I believe it will be interesting topic.

There are few projects like this but if you look at white paper you will see bitcoin is getting more and more value with the passage of time I am sure within few month or years it will become world famous and people will not refuse to accept bitcoin for buying and selling goods online and in shops as well, among all crypto currencies I saw only bitcoin being acceptable.

If you want to spend your coins, you should be using purse.io. There are even wallets where you can get gift cards and use them on Amazon. I have a Bitpay wallet and I can buy any gift card I want in-app. Their gift cards that you can buy with Bitcoin includes Uber, Amazon, Delta and even more. So if you're looking for a good way to be spending your coins you should have a Bitpay wallet. And they even have a Bitpay debit card you can use at worldwide ATM. That's the only wallet I know that offers those features, others don't do it.
