So is there a place I can get more info on this "Proof of Block" yet?

i think the dev wants to refer to it as Proof of Transaction (POT) now.

i'm really impressed with the successful fork yesterday, i think kidcoin deserves some good credit for his hard work.

trujillo, applause for you too for getting the peripheral projects in order.

moonpool, thanks for your help on the flutterchain.us site up and running.

wel done to everybody

Now the most profitable coin on Coinwarz - well done kidcoin.

Especially important now that we don't let the chain get 51%'d - come on people, spread the hash around - https://flt.crunchharder.net is hitting blocks but could do with more hashrate.

Could always switch to Adaptive N-Factor and avoid multipools altogether instead of trying to mitigate them.
Please no, people want to use literal scrypt, not N-Factor.
All N-Factor does is make it more complicated for people to mine your coin as there is way less availability for the software. (People like what they are using currently, cgminer, minerd, bfgminer, etc).
It also removes ASIC users as it is a different algo than the scrypt ASIC are targeting. Removing ASIC users really makes no sense in the first place.
This coin will never become N-Factor unless I am out of the picture  Wink

Mac OS X wallet?
Soon - wasn't at the top of the list with the issues but I am actually trying to work on the kinks to build it as I type...  I had to rent a Mac
You've seen that doge has had to move to static rewards to combat multipools gaming the system, are you planing on removing random rewards?
They are really abuseable and beyond pointless when you really think about it for POW blocks.
Thinking about it...
With the price that the coin now is on mintpal and bter, it is very likely that profit switching pools start targeting it.
At that point they will only be targeting the random blocks with the highest values because they are predictable, and any actual pools that are purely for fluttercoin will get screwed out of large amounts of coin.
Would be wonderful to hear others opinion on this, but I am sure this is very likely to happen very soon, especially if this gets added to coinmarketcap.

Do all coins that have pseudo-random block rewards use the same mechanism that DOGE used to calculate the reward? To put it another way, is FLT susceptible to the same exploitation in the same manner?

Dev: Have you considered changing the title of the thread to advertise PoW/PoS/PoT and now Mintpal listed?
I'm pretty certain this one is being calculated in the exact same way, using the last blockhash to get the random amount.
I may or may not know of another way to generate random blocks, impossibly to predict, yet repeatable/seed-able so it will work Wink but if that doesn't workout fixed rewards will be implemented likely.

That is pretty ridiculous in comparison, why aren't people spreading the hash? Sad Join us over @ http://flutter.miningwith.us We could use your help!

yeah moonpool i would like to see more people on your pool. plus you took the time to make http://flutterchain.us/ and your flutter.miningwith.us pool has 0% fee. i think you definitely deserve more hash on your pool.

12 Gh ?!  Shocked
The multipools are reacting to coinwarz as I was saying? Hopefully they are just flat out mining it rather than block targeting.

Thanks to all the new people that joined http://flutter.miningwith.us
We are at 150MH now.

Not sure why Bter withdrawl limits on Fluttercoin are only 50k. I will contact them about this to have it changed to a more reasonable number like 500k-1m

looks like the difficulty is leveling out at about 140-150 it will probably stay there unless the coin price goes higher.

Hmm... mine was actually limited to 25k earlier, I wonder if they just changed it or maybe limits scale somehow with account age/activity?

edit: just checked, still 25k for my account

you can withdraw 25k per transaction, 50k per day
