If one must hold and be calm same time, then one must hold the right coin otherwise the result will be catastrophic. I had heard some bad altcoins with all assurance and ended up losing all. I should have held bitcoin. Won't make such mistake again forever as long as God liveth and my soul liveth.

Thats good to hold if you are in the right coin to hold. Because not all coins are useless and not worth it to hold sometimes those coins you are expecting will lose for your profits.

There is no reason to hold a coin that holds no future, you're going to hurt yourself by that, that is why it is important to have knowledge what you're trying to get into before proceeding to your plan. We either get the tokens we are going to hold for the long run with bounties or investing directly on it with a massive amount (preferable) of money to get the profits we are looking forward to have in the future.

The advantage of joining a bounty is you'll only feel about 50% of frustration when you been scammed, it could also be considered as a lost profit, while if you are investing your money on a certain token then got lost because it was a not good token, you will feel 100% frustration on it because you invested your time and money on it, but the good thing about investing your money on it is you could make a lot compare to just joining a bounty because you could have more depending on how much fund do you have.

You have made a good point but holding for long term doesn't necessarily mean you keep holding even if the coin price moved up, that's what people fail to understand. If you are holding a coin bought at 1$ and price moves to 2$, a wise investor will sell about 50% of that coin and wait to see what happens next. A noob who believes in 10x to 100x gains will keep holding even if the coin did 5X.  This is just an instance. One needs to apply good strategy while holding coins for long term, just my candid opinion.

It depends on what you HODL. If you HODL any project tokens which is worth nothing, then you will regret in the end. However if it is top performing crypto coins, then I am on your side of HODLing.

HODLing depends on how much profit is enough for you, so everybody is different. Some people question of a bubble so they will HODL and cash out a little bit after every run. in my opinion long term investing will always beat short term trading due to capital gains taxes. Leave your savings in Ethereum, BTC and Monero, or some portion of them that you feel comfortable with.

However, It's easy to hodl and don't care about dips until the value of your holdings gets to a psychological level which is different for every investor. Once you get to that personal level you aimed for with a real world value, such as paying student loan, buying house and etc, it gets difficult to HODL and stand the dips I guess. so don’t play this game with money you need to survive because you won’t be able to hold of you do get caught. afterall, I recommend If you get caught in a bad position be prepared to hold them for atleast 3-4 years. No one has lost money yet doing that.

Of course, everyone of us would like to have profit and not because we love the project, most of the time we are after the project who can assure as for profit that we want, of course there is no assurance at all, but what we prefer is those stable coins/tokens already that were listed in great exchange and we can see continuously developing.

I would have advice people to keep holding their tokens or coins but since market is in bad shape its better to keep taking your profit out, learn to use stable coin to hold and buy back when dips continue but things might change in 2020 and it might be a good year to hold

Crypto will become a currency someday, it can be exchanged anywhere, and will become an international currency. But for now crypto users are still hesitant, especially with the very fluctuating price conditions. If it has become a currency in each exchange then the price will definitely be normal. So don't hesitate if you hold cryptocurrency.

the government will not recognize bitcoin as a currency. maybe more appropriate if it is said to be a digital asset that can be used for online payments. currency is only for the government, and others can only be said as digital payment or digital assets..

Recognition is not necessarily used as a conventional currency. However, with permission to use crypto it has been recognized as a currency. Because automatically in these countries can use as a transaction tool.
