Old coins vs new coins

I personally prefer coins that have high potential in the future even though I currently see potential coins but have not experienced an increase
at that time we began to be patient and give full support to the coins

new coins: are ICO tokens from projects during the bear market,mostly not listed on exchanges.

It is obvious that all the aspect of the space had struggled due the giant force of bitcoin. Over the past year the average dump in price of most of the old token/altcoin from the last bull run is close to 90% while the new coin are holding to their price. Most ICOs in the later part of 2018 decided to postpone the listing which their decision could be justified or condemned as the market revives.
With the approaching news of bull run and present the value of altcoins,
1.  can the altcoins ever hit the ATH price even at $20000 bitcoin?
2. Can the new coin from ICO be an alternative even with so much old coin held in some portfolios?  
3. will you choose to hold on to old coins or sell to invest into new ICOs?
 

1) well not really, price always peg to how the project has developed and advanced

2) You could mix portion of it but much newer coins seems fishy at least for me, most project are just people who wanted to make quick money and launch their ico

the new coins will need time to be able to be great. so don't be too redundant acquiesced on the new coins could soon skyrocket aka. just need a great many coins ever to be great and a lot of up and down are bypassed. the longer the new coins are getting bigger, then it will also have an impact on the old coins will start the selected good who can compete and not.

now I am more likely to invest in old coins, because for ethereum, dogecoin and ripples also old coins, and also a profitable way to make more profits, compared to new coins.

I agree with you, new coins are still very weak and the marketcap is still small so the potential is not convincing for the waves. All have their own qualities and new coins may be superior because they have seen many shortcomings of old coins. Maybe I will also choose to invest in old coins that I already know about their quality.

Yes, old coins already know the character so there is no doubt that new coins still have to learn and have a low value, besides that they cannot know the character of the coin which seems to be still in the forecast.

Many people find old coins more reliable. But can you make a lot of money on old coins in a short time? Probably in the current market to do it will not work. New coins can give more profit but you have to be able to choose.

It is difficult to make a lot of money from old coins in a short time. Besides that every coin in the market only follow with bitcoin price moves so whenever bitcoin did, the other coins will behind on bitcoin. I am not sure if new coins can give more profit because they need to show people their benefits so people will think that new coins can compete with the old coins. But I do believe that every coin including new coins can give us more profit at the right time.

Old coins have the advantage that they are already more or less tested by time and it’s more clear scam or not. With the new coins, the risk is no more, but it cannot be said that there are no coins among them with great potential, everything is relative, but it’s true that new coins are treated more carefully.

It is difficult to make a lot of money from old coins in a short time.  I am not sure if new coins can give more profit because they need to show people their benefits so people will think that new coins can compete with the old coins. do you think you can earn more in the new coins ?  didnt you know that if old coins like btc have drop , new coins also follows  ?  sure some new can pump faster because most of them are built for a pump and dump scheme  .

 its pretty risky though . what if you invest and the coin suddenly dump in no return .

overall , we must not under estimate the potential of new coins  because old coins like bitcoin do also start as new   .  we just need to be picky because lots of fake coins are now on the loose .

only few of old coin still exist and survive until now, many coin only can survive around 1-2 year, after that it become ash for sure..

1. There's a possibility that most altcoins would reach its all-time high when Bitcoin reach $20,000 again.

2. Only select few would be an alternative because of how the ICO had gone through. Most are scams and failing. Only a handful are able to make a name in the crypto world.

I believe to stable coin not old coin.many old coin that have bad of price like low trade at exchange .but for new ico for now is bad project.many ico launch failed or not liat at market.i beleive stable coin better than  new coin that or new ico project

Exactly. Old altcoins have certain support and resistance levels which we can use to predict the price action, so the risk is much lower due to less entropy. With new coins we don't know anything except some fundamentals, so the risk of dump is much higher, but the reward could be extremely high and almost instant as well...

I also think the same way but one thing is that most of the ICOs were conducted by people who had knowledge in crypto so they used the bitcoin's "bubble(sorry if I used an abusive term)" to steal money from investors so no money to invest in better projects that are here now or completed their ICOs but with few funds. Looking at the way some few alts are functioning and devs doing their work, I think new alts may hit a very high price one day if not now.

There are hundreds of coins and tokens introduced everyday, old coins has been dump and some others were lost in its track, causing the market unstable, the more the coins, the bad market it is, I think there should be a limitation when it comes to producing new tokens and coins, and it's not surprising that only the best old coins can stay longer in the market, but I don't think any Alts or new tokens could surpassed bitcoin in its current state and price value.

If there is a bull run comes,even the bad project will collect in millions so it all depends on the market not based on the potential because people were investing based on profits in short term don't have intention to support them in long term.

I'd never wanting for the big rewards but for the price that it won't drastically drop down and make profit. We should be very careful of buying new coins cause mostly of them were fall after listed in the market which could possibly give losses to us. It is better to invest the leading coins in the market cause we have assurance to get.
