Mistake you should avoid when holding your Altcoins

Early 2018 I had different altcoins via bounties, airdrops and small investment in ICOs. But the major mistake I made was waiting for bull run to come so I could sell and make large profit. But atlast the bull run never came. So I had to keep hodling till I got stocked in the Bear market.

For tokens obtained from bounties it would be better to immediately sell when we see a good price which at least will make a profit for you even though it's only a small profit, I also experienced it and until now I still hold the tokens that I get from investment at the ICO and some of the bounties that I was very disappointed I did not continue to pay attention to them, so I was left with good moments when the price of the token was indeed feasible. So my advice is to keep abreast of their developments so that you don't miss a good moment for you to profit from the tokens and altcoins that you hold.

We are all looking for the right time to buy and sell our coins and tokens. This is practically our work with cryptocurrency. However, each type of cryptocurrency has its own characteristics and therefore there can not be universal tips. For example, I am sure in many tokens that they will continue to grow in price and therefore, for the time being, I am going to keep them, and there it will be visible. In the future, I will act in accordance with the general state of the cryptocurrency market. The time for the profitable sale of our coins and tokens has passed, now for a long time to sell them makes no sense.

You are right but aiming for profit can make you sell off good projects that can later spike up in price ,see what Apollo as become ,I earned few Apollo from airdrop and im glad I don't sell

I think it is not a mistake if you continue holding your crypto assets during bearish market simply because it was part of the process as we all knew from the very start that this investment is very risky as the price is really unpredictable beside what is the point of selling it low if there is a chance that it will bounce back? Except if you are holding crap Altcoins then that will be really a big mistake as for sure you will lose investments.

Sell off only those project that are not promising orelse you will regret your decision later on because the ones you sell might bring you huge fortune ,keep the good ones

There is no point to hodl except you are so sure about the project, to me the best thing to do after receiving a reward for participating in bounty campaign is to exchange for better coin and make your profit out if it immediately, then you can later invest in it if you find out that is doing well in the market.I will never advice anyone to hodl a coin after receiving rewards for campaign.

There are Two major things that a holder should keep an eye on the:
1. The analysis of the coins that he/she is holding.
2. The news of the wallets in which he/she is holding coins.

I also think like you that from 2018 if we decide to hold ICO coins until now it is an inappropriate decision because we don't get profit but instead lose because it is increasingly worthless. I myself, if I get ICO coins, of course, I will sell immediately when the value looks better because if we hold back and expect more profits, it will be in vain.

And here many are at risk, only smart people always partially withdraw money when making a profit, and leave a smaller part for further trading, thereby minimizing losses. You need to competently trade.

I don't really agree with OP advice, its better to make big profit, the problem is how we analyse the situation, we need to be aware with the market situation and be smart about it, we should be able to speculate the price and predict the investment term

Many people made mistakes like you. We have to learn a lot from this bear market. Many of us have lost a lot of money thinking we can make more profit

Believe me, I also made the same mistake thus my portfolio dwindled and died and I am trying to start the process of slow accumulation all over again. If I had not made that mistake and had sold the tokens and coins I held last year in January before the big Altcoin crash, I could have bought a paid off house or apartment in the U.K or anywhere else for that matter. I regret that I did not sell back then and now probably would have also had a bigger portfolio and a property to boot. I made the stupid mistake of believing in all the Euphoria and FOMO and did not realize that all that time I was holding, the Whales were ready to pull the plug on us and kill our investments and crypto portfolios. As a bounty hunter,you sould be ready to accept whatever the outcome for you because ou are not investing money on those projects so just cashout the tokens when it gets listed no matter of how much it gets prices on the exchanges.

This is one example of the smart investor hahaha LOL. And I am sure that many others do the same thing as you and now, they can buy as much as they want. Unfortunately, I don't sell all of my coins and still, hold some coins in the wallet because my coins were not increase like the other coins. I still waiting for the time to that coins and I hope in this year, or at least, the next year, my coins can increase.

I don't know if what I did qualifies for recalibrating but I did do quite a lot of speculative trading in late 2017 and early 2018, and then stopped to wait. I ended up buying up more coins that I was already holding throughout last year, buying at what I thought were really bad dips. They got lower and lower, but to be honest I'm not too worried. I still sit at around 60% of my original entry points in 2017, but compared to 2016 when I first bought most of my major coins, I'm kind of at equal range.

Holding works for extremely long term view, at least I hope it does

You can wait bull run multiples when market early returns and go to the new ATH

* I once sold all the coins I got from the bounty but after 1 week experienced a fantastic price increase
* I also hold a coin when I experience a price increase but I keep holding it because I'm sure it will go up (I'm greedy) but after a few hours a dump occurs and I don't realize it

But maybe there are a lot of people who still hold their coins. And they regret like me  . Not expect will be like this bad and now i don't have any choice to hold my coins. Maybe developers will update their project and make changes.

Maybe so, but it is difficult to predict which tokens will bring profit in the future, so it’s better to keep everything if you don’t have to spend it!
