While I was watching this match I noticed two turning points which indicated that Sri Lanka was going to win.

Firstly, in last two over of Afghanistan inning, Sri Lanka conceded only 12 runs which was good for them as they have advantage of 10 to 12 runs which was going to be vital in this chase and this happen in Afghanistan bowling they were good and there all bowlers were doing good but 16th overs was really turning point for them as ul-Haq concede 18 runs and this give clearly win to Sri Lanka which was doing amazing job throughout in this chase and today they really strong enough after having very close win against Bangladesh in last match.

Now, from here we are turning into very interesting situation as my feeling is Afghanistan which done good in early group matches going to lose here with 0 - 3.

Both of the teams played really well but I'm surprised by the performance of the Sri Lanka that was unexpected match was so close in the hands of AFG but Sri Lanka made it done more perfectly as Sri lanka won by their hard work. It is very difficult to predict the performance of teams like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. There is no consistency in the performance of the players in these teams. We saw a very good performance from Afghanistan in the first match against Sri Lanka. The performance of Afghanistan's bowlers was particularly noteworthy. But in today's match, Afghanistan's bowlers were completely unsuccessful. This is why Afghanistan has been defeated today.

Yeah, I agree with you here about all Afghanistan were sloppy after having 175 targets on board, and they were feeling they can control Sri Lanka easily, but today we have completely different Sri Lanka which came for batting, and they won match just in 6th over when they hit 17 runs to Rashid Khan it's completely changed the momentum of this match and after this 16th over of the match which bowled by Naveen-ul-Haq give them another 18 runs.

Overall good fight from both teams, but Sri Lanka use their experience and have good advantage after a winning chase against Bangladesh give them confidence which help them here in this match as well.
Now tomorrow match is crucial if Pakistan won then surely we will have tough fight for final spot and if India won then most chances we will have India vs Sri Lanka final with Afghanistan and Pakistan going home after end of this round.

It was a disaster yesterday. Hong Kong was really pathetic. They conceded close to 200 runs while fielding first and then lost the match by 150 runs. And this is the reason why I want ICC to prohibit teams sending 100% foreign citizen squads to such tournaments. Hong Kong stole the slot from teams with native players (Nepal, Malaysia.etc) and then put up a pathetic performance against Pakistan. If the ICC doesn't take concrete actions, at least the ACC should make it mandatory to have at least 3-4 native players in the XI.

Hongkong was a new team as compared to Pakistan. Comparing them with Pakistani team is unjust.
Pakistani players are very experienced and they give almost a. huge quota to the male cricket player. So we must acknowledge that Hongkong just came into the field andd tired.

Quite disappointed with the way Afghanistan played yesterday. This was an excellent opportunity for them to get in to the finals of the Asia Cup for the first time. And for some time it looked as if they are on the driver's seat. By the time when Rahmanullah Gurbaz got out, they were 139/2 in 15.3 overs. In the next 4.3 overs, they could manage only 36 runs (ideally they could have scored at least 50 runs, given they had 8 wickets in hand). Mohammad Nabi in particular wasted a lot of balls towards the end. Even 175 was a defendable total. But for some strange reason, their bowlers failed yesterday.

Of course it doesn't mean you automatically win the match, but the advantage is so big that I think it shouldn't be acceptable in international cricket. Wnning the toss at Dubai is half the battle, the data backs that up. I think something like last 15 of 16 matches have been won by the chasing team, and that is I think almost always the the toss winning team. The trend usually changes against weak teams.

I agree with you the reason is Hongkong they are new team they don't have a good approach to the game. They don't have good bowling and batting. That's why they are new I think.  Pakistan is a very strong team in all aspects.  He always plays well. They have many good players in their team.
